    Five groupled L22's killing an even con mob: (22*5+45) * 1.4 / 5 = 43.4 XP base, 86.8 rested, 130.2 recruit-a-friend.
Does this formula include the group bonus too? - I'm at work so can't check but I'm sure with my 5 boxing RAF accounts I was getting a group bonus too (thanks for the formula tho).

Either way RAF rocks 5x 59 (pally, 3x mages, druid) at the moment, I ain't complaining ... planning my second group already...(priests and locks ~ purple power shadow team!)

/ponders how many groups could be done in the 90 days 8o

    Group XP is simply a multiplier for 3+ person groups, which I already mentioned: 3 = x1.166, 4 = x1.3) and 5 = x1.4
I am actually not 100% sure off the top of my head how the group multiplier works along with rest / RAF bonus.
If we kill a mob worth 100 XP to a solo player, each character in a 5 man would get 140/5 = 28 XP. Is that then 56 XP with rest and 84 XP with RAF ?
Or do they work separately on the base 20 XP pre-group: 20 base, +8 group, +20 rested = 48 XP... 20 base, +8 group, +40 RAF = 68 XP? I believe it is the former (56 or 84 XP) but it would be easy to test.

Yup, getting 35k xp per quest is a joke. Getting my new 5 man team to 60 in 2 days played is no joke.

Think of us who bought the accounts 2 weeks before the RAF buff and stop complaining!
I'm so bummed. People with RAF are going to outlands and I'm getting burned out at SM library...

I'm so tempted to go out and buy two new copies.
Thats what I did last friday, I bought 4 new accounts.

I had a group of 34 locks on my old accounts. Starting friday at midnight to last night I got a new group of locks to 30, a group of mages to 34, shamans to 16 and hunters to 19.

It is more than worth it.
    5x Mages - 80 - Vnla - The Forgotten Coast
    5x Warlocks - 80 - Craan - The Forgotten Coast
    5x Shamans - 80 - Slna - The Forgotten Coast
    5x Paladins - 71 - Regulatea - The Forgotten Coast
    5x Hunter - 15 - Lovaa - The Forgotten Coast
    5x Druid - 23 - Aira - The Forgotten Coast

I just want to chime in and say it is more than worth it and it is pretty funny how fast you level... and in that sense it is a joke.

As already stated the x3 quest experience is the big win. The mob bonus is just a nice garnish on top. Being able to give away 1/2 of the levels you gain to other lower level toons is the gift that keeps on giving.

This whole RAF thing is just win though and though.

    Awesome RAF is awesome.

    Default Shamans

I leveled a trio of Shamans to 44 a couple months back. With RAF, I'm positive I will do 1-60 faster on 5 toons than 44-60 on three. It basically invalidates every sub-50 alt I have. It's great to get the bonus, but a little sad at the same time.

The other thing people aren't taking into account in xp calculations is the gifted levels.

Yes you might be getting a little less xp per kill in the group even with the 3x xp but if you add in the value of the 30 levels per new 60 you can gift then the true value of the RAF terms is likely to be 10-15x xp bonus.

Think of it this way, a good played time from 1-60 solo is ~4 days....now if we add one RAF in to the mix we can 2-box 2 new characters from 1-60 in ~2 days played, or 48 hours total = 8 days @ 6 hours a day.

If we just churn out new chars for the 90 days linked we'd end up with 10 chars on the second account and the ability to gift a total of 300 levels to any characters on our main account, or 5 characters from 1-60 instantly and THAT is the real xp bonus to the RAF program now.
