Default New computer and some questions :)

Im ordering a new computer from a norweagian net page called komplett.no were they build the pc and give you a 3 year warranty even if i open the computer to upgrade it. You just build it online with the stuff you want and they build it for a low extra cost and install and test it etc etc. I bought my last computer there and had 0 problems with it.

I cant decide between some of the hardware so i could need some advice..

They cost nearly the same so money is not a issue aslong as i get the best for playing my computer games and boxing ofc

    CPU:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.67GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED m/fan
    Intel Core™2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz Socket LGA775, 1333MHz, 12MB, BOXED w/fan
    Intel Core™2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz Socket LGA775, 1333MHz, 12MB + fan

    Watercooling:

NorthQ 3850 Water Cooling Kit, Socket 775/754/939/940/AM2

There is only one and it is maintenance free.. Just wondering if anyone had any bad experience with watercooling?

    Ram:

    Kingston ValueR. DDR2 PC5300 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched ValueRAM 2048MB DDR2
    Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4DHX DDR2, 4096MB Kit w/two CL4 2GB Dimm's, E.P.P and DHX
    Corsair Value S. PC5300 DDR2 4096MB Kit w/two matched Value Select 2048MB

It lookds like this is just what kind of vendor you want to use?

To be able to use 4GB ram i need vista 64 bit and my mate tells me that this is Vista Ultimate is that right? (after reading i notice that vista ultimate is standar with this machine)

    Screencard:

    XFX GeForce GTX 260 576M 896MB GDDR3, PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI/HDCP, 448bit
    XFX GeForce GTX 280 602M 1GB GDDR3, PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI/HDCP, 512bit
    Gainward GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3, PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI/HDCP, 512bit

Here is some money difference ast the 512bit cards cost about $200 more then the first one.. is it worth it??

Im happy to recive advice on keyboards with macro keys that works with both keyclone and octopus if anyone knows

Thanks for the help and sorry for my bad english!

First, for more than 4GB memory, you need a 64-bit OS, not just Vista Ultimate (which comes in 32-bit and 64-bit versions). That means you could use Vista Home Premium 64-bit, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, or any other 64-bit version to have more than 4GB available.

For those CPU choices, easily the Q9450. More cache and smaller process = good.

I'd pass on watercooling - I've worked with "low-maintenance" water systems, but never one that is truly maintenance free.

For the RAM, get the Corsair TWIN2X. It's faster and is listed as CAS4 latency.

The videocard is up to how much you want to spend.. if money doesn't matter, the XFX GTX280 is the best of that group. I can't exactly say that the GTX280 is worth it over the GTX260 for WoW though. For that matter, I can't say the GTX260 is better than an HD4850 for WoW for the price.

    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

If the builder has a good reputation, and a 3 year warranty, then do not worry about the watercooling system.

    Get the:
    Q9450
    XFX GeForce GTX 280
    Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4DHX DDR2, 4096MB
In my opinion. Better performance than the rest of your options.
