1) It's Mythic. I'm operating on the "screw me once, shame on you; screw me twice, shame on me" principle after DAoC. The constant over-nerfs (Zerkers and Animists?) and over-buffs (ToA and Fire Wizards?) just left a bad taste in my mouth.

2) It's Mythic. If you look in their games, you'll notice that while they have high polygon counts, they also have almost zero dynamic content. Look at WoW's zones and in spite of the content you'll see that the grass waves, the trees sway, critters and people move around, patrol, carry on group events, etc. Mythic towns tend to look completely static.

3) Note that we've not seen how the engine works when you get 400+ people in a RVR battle, yet. Even WoW has had trouble with that (TM vs SS zone crashes and corpse lag, anyone?). And unless they can do massive zerg battles over fortifications, there's no compelling reason for me to ditch WoW for WAR. I've never been one of those "Let's see how big my epeen can grow from 1v1'ing these nubs" people, so "good" PVP isn't what I'm after. If there were RvR a-la old Frontiers, I'd be all over it.

For me, we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
