Started dual-boxing now, got 3 common questions

I recently bought my second account + keyclone, hopefully I'll get answers faster now.

Well the questions are common but I couldn't find a specific common answer. THe first question is the usual: what way works the best to make the slave loot from mobs, which loottype is the best in group, and what to do with looting things that are on the ground? (Like the BeM daily quest to loot Mana Cells) Same goes for accepting & completing quest, possible at all without having to go to the slave window?

Second question is, I have one pc & 2 monitors. Is it possible at all to make the second wow window which is the slave window, always popup at the second monitor? And to move my mouse from my main window to my slave window without having to alt-tab? I have heard about the windowed mode solution, but doesn't that reduce your game resolution a bit?



Third question is actually something for the PvP discussion, but I didn't felt like making a seperate thread for it. I'm looking for a healer for my Hunter. This healer has to obviously heal herself, my Hunter or my pet. When not healing (like for dailies), she must be able to do worthy dmg. When the occasion calls for it, she might also play a healing role in Karazhan (which I guess once every 2 weeks). They will be pvp geared (mix of Vengeful & Merciless, depending on my 2vs2 rate), for the Karazhan role I'll take some healing blues if necessary.

I have the following two healers to pick from:

- Disc/Holy Priest: Divine Fury, Searing Light & Force of Will are good talent buffs for Smite, as well can Power Infusion help her nicely. On the other hand, her heals might be not that high since there are barely any +healing talents taken. The HP-buff & Spirit-buff are quite good & helpfull. I've noticed at 500dmg their Smite does 1k-1.1k on mobs, which is not bad. Priests are bit boring to play for kara roles though.

- Resto Shaman: Concussion buffs up LB nicely but the casts will be slightly slower then Smite because there's no Lightning Mastery taken, most of the talents are focused in Restotree. However that will make her heals much better then the Priest. She has also Chain Heal, which seems very fun to use to me during Karazhan, much more fun then a Priest. It seems also that Shammies have less trouble with some dpsing then Priest (SHammies needs less dmgtalents then Priest to do same dmg). Totems are also very good, Strength totem, Agi totem, Healing Stream totem, etc. No other buffs at all though except for Heroism. Chardev says they do 1.1k LBs with resto gear + build, but Chardev isn't very accurate, so...

To repeat the point of the healer again: doing dailies (which requires worthy dmg) & some non-serious arena's. (the kara role doesn't matter that much since it will occur rarely) And please, don't suggest any other class, just pick one of those two + your reasoning.

There is on the macro section a looting macro that sets you to first person, but personally i just switch to the window i need to loot with, hold shift and loot stuff, i tend to do my slaves first, then the main i control.

About your 2nd monitor. Keyclones maximizer can set the wow to any resolution you want. so it can also do fullscreen on the first, and full screen on the 2nd (just make sure u start wow first in windowed mode)

Just keep in mind Picture in Picture is rather slow/sluggish when using 2 screens.

You can set an option in the interface that auto loots, so it saves you having to press shift - you just right click and it takes everything.

And I'll try out the macro in the macro section, I know what one you talking about. However, on which person does those macro's apply to? Put them on both main & slave, or only main, or only slave?

If you have autoloot enabled, holding shift does the opposite.

I find that 99% of the time, I want to autoloot, and if I don't, I hold shift. BOP's always prompt anyhow. The ONLY place this has been a problem is in the barrens getting the dagger, shield and wand from the pig people... those are bop, don't prompt, and they show up even if you've completed or are not on the quest. Such a PITA.

Get the LootFilter addon and set it up the way you want. Then you can autoloot all day long and get only what you want.

For the first two questions I think the answers are quite clear. I haven't tried out yet, but I will tomorrow.


As for the third question, should I re-ask in the PvP discussion thread?

As the guy said Autoloot is your friend and deletes all my greys!

I use my main char to loot everything and i always loot on him first to remove the trash.. then i take a look on my slaves if there is quest items to loot.
