It's not that I can't get it to work, its that it doesn't work quite like I had expected.
Anytime either of my characters are /follow on the other there seems to be some serious lag in their movement speeds. As in if I run in a straight line, doing nothing else, eventually the /follow breaks. If I move with a stutter it works fine (although, really, who wants to move around like that) but when I stop the following toon acts like there is serious lag and overshoots, then undershoots, then overshoots until finally settling in a spot. During the time the other toon is doing this it wont take any other commands (cast spells, use items, etc).
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue? I only have 1GB of system ram but I play with both toons on minimum gfx settings(from the /scripts in the FAQ) (and get 70+ fps in whichever window is maximized) and my ping is under 100ms. I'm only running two toons I figured I'd be able to handle it on lower settings. Also only the main is really running any addons of note and that is under 30MB of addon memory. Could it be that I use Hotkey? It seems odd that it would be the problem since the command gets broadcasted fine, the movement is just extremely choppy. Maybe my Athlon64 3500+? Any ideas would be appreciated, and if I am totally leaving something useful out let me know also![]()
