Thread: Tri to 5

    Default Tri to 5

I used to only dual-box but recently switched to tri-boxing and am loving it. I am currently leveling 3 shamans and I would really like to 5 box and that is my goal when I have the money to update and add pcs. I am not big on running multi copies of wow on one machine and would really like to have 5 pc's, one for each toon. My question is would I be better off going with 5 laptops or 5 desktops? With the 5 laptops I figure I can save on space and money in the long run because I shouldn’t need extra mice and keyboards but I also know the draw back is lack of expansion. Thanks for any comments;-)

Its like a fire... once you start 2 boxing you want 3... then 4.... then of course 5.... I just hope I never get the bug to go bigger.... my wife would kick me out of the house if i tried to multibox more than 5 lol.

Well my wife knows I am doing the 3. Really I only got the 3rd account for my 9 year old, she has been bugging me to teach her how to play so I finally gave in. She has my old PC and it is right next to mine and I wasn't even sure if it could run WOW but it did, not great but good enough for her. So I helped her a bit but now school is coming up and she is not allowed to play as much so with the machine setting there with a 3rd account I thought what the hell and started 3 new shamans and I love it I can do so much more with 3 rather then just 2. So now I am thinking of the 5 when I thought it would be to difficult or feel more like work with more than 2 but I was wrong.

Octopus makes it so easy binding keys and sharing one mouse and keyboard. Kinda crazy when I have to use a FP and turn in some quests because I have different sized monitors but since I went 3 no way I could go back to only 2. So now I am thinking of going 5 but I am going to go all new machines. I think I am going to do it around tax time.
