Check out the review of the HD4870X2 at anandtech.com - take a peek at the power consumption numbers.. holy fooq. And if you think about XFire with them.. you *need* a 1200W PSU.

True. Just think of the 4870 X2 as having two 4870's in crosffire, but on one card.yea power is nasty... big waste imo. Just get one and be happy with it.
