5 Man normals/heroics possible?

Hi.

My main needs to gear up for Kara yet on my server I am always LFG longer than I group.

Way back when, I 5 boxed from 1 - 40, but quit wanting to focus on a main. Because of the lack of groups to run instances at 70 though,I'm thinking of firing them back up to farm gear for my main, and then just cancel the rest and focus on my main when its all geared up. But in order to spend 75$, I wanted to ask from your experiences how far can one get in terms of progression as a 5 boxer? Can I get most normal ones done? That's really my goal.

It is quite possible to 5-box all normal and most if not all heroic once. this will require good computer(s), nicely setup of macros and good synergy for group.

Yep. I've recently "graduated" out of normal 70's to heroics with my Pally+Shamanx4. Slave Pens down and Mech too except for Sepethrea (PITA). Bot is next I think.

My two-box team of warrior/priest can clear out almost any trash pull in a normal mode 5-man, and the warrior is in DPS gear. I'm sure that a well-geared well-played 5 man multibox team could clear almost any 5 man heroic.
