Default 2x shaman or 2x priest?

Im really having a hard time deciding what to level up.
im set on a class that can heal so mage is out and i want two casters of the same class.

what would be easier to dual box to 80 shammies or priests
at 80 i think ill do battlegrounds just to get some gear then split them up and pve raid on them separatly ill have one for healing and one for dps and slowly build them up

i know you get this alot but it is so hard to decide

I started leveling 2 priests, was pretty smooth tbh. I was gonna go for Shadowform at level 40, so that disables the healing basicly, so unless you wanna level as Holy id say go for 2 shammys :P
2x Priests - Healthbar and Manabar. First try!

Are you going Alliance or Horde?

If you go Undead, WotF gives you a "get out of fear free" card that's comparable to the Shammies. The Priest's Fear Ward gets consumed, so you'd want something else as well.

Between WotF, FW and Trinket fear is a non-issue and that's your biggest worry as a 'boxer.

If you're going Alliance, Shammies have a clear advantage with their Tremor Totems.

In fact, the truth is that shammies have a clear advantage anyway. I tried 3 Alliance discipline priests (I found I couldn't juggle the healing + shadow form effectively with a shadow spec, so gave up trying!) and they were great fun, but an undead rogue or well-played hunter makes embarassingly short work of them.

In short, then, if you're not worried about being perceived as "just following the crowd", Shammies are the way to go.

O i really dont mind what i play 2 of i just want them to be the same class to make it easy and not locks or warriors because i have been playing them since release

ive been playing the beta and decided i would rather start 2x boxing than grinding to 80

although i would like to play a healer like a pally, priest , sham, druid at 80 i did play 2x mage today a bit and that was fun
also after beeing alliance for years yes i do want to make a break and go 2x on a horde server will be easier without cash to waste on them hehe

Personally i would roll with two shaman, although both are extremely viable to level.

From a sheer utility viewpoint they are great. They can take a beating. Can pop a heal. Can do amazing burst damage, and can buff groups in a large number of ways.

I've had a load of fun with my single 70 shaman - and it is just amplified when you have multiples.

I can't wait for my three other shaman to get up there.

I've only levelled a shadow priest to 53 so far (and a big chunk of that was through the now nerfed zolo technique). He does nice damage, but is ultimately more squishy.
