New Group to 80 and heroics

Got my 4x shaman group to 80 this weekend. I transfered my paladin off a pvp server as I just got tired of the random hastle and the people who talked me into playing on that server, no longer play. Took around 6 days 10h played time to get to 80. Wasnt too bad. Though no flying from 70-77 sucked. At 77, i went strait to icecrown and by the time that was 100% done I was one set of Grizzley Hills dailies away from 80.

Heroics.

Level 80 and boo. No random dungeons, gear sucks too much to tool says. I find this laughable as my shamen have more hp/mp/sp at fresh 80 than my druid group did after running several heroics etc. Icecrown left my shaman at revered status with the Ebon Blade so i picked up the caster items there. None of it was mail. Cloak, bracers, and gloves. I picked up the nature resist enchant as well to help deal with all the poisons lich king throws at you. That unlocked being able to do random heroics.

First up was Utguard Keep. I really dont like this one too much. Takes a long time and theres only 3 bosses. One shot all the bosses and no one died. I was quite impressed as this dungeon gave my druid group all kinds of hell before I was able to beat it.

Next on the random was the Nexus. This team did extreamly well against that caster boss, I hated her guts. I did end up wiping 2 times on the last boss for some reason. Kept getting all my shaman knocked back from the tail swipe, never had this problem before. 3rd try she went down whimpering, no tail swips.... I didnt do anything differed so who knows. for 7 emblems this one can come up any time.

Last one for the weekend I got Utguard Pinnical. I have not ever completed this one on my own and seeing how I was hitting 2.7k dps out of the gate and the last 2 heroics didnt give me much issues I figured I would give it a try. First boss was a joke. If your just going to float there and soak damage than you deserve to die. Second boss was a joke as well. Sigh.... Skaldi was a pain. He wasnt so bad, it was the caster spawns. I parked my shamen around the pillar to avoid the frost, but thoes guys would just shoot at them and remain out of range. 4 wipes later I just got lucky and only a few spawned. Skaldi and the harpoons were easy mode w/o thoes casters and their shadowbolts. Final boss King Yawn.. One shotted him and ended the fight pretty much full hp full mp. I read up on him and it sounded scary, but it was a joke I think each phase lasted maybe 4-6 global cool downs and flameshock/lava burst reset each phase so he didnt last. I got my achievements and if it comes up on random again, ill kill the first two bosses and random something else when the timer is up.

on a side note: Do the runes the bone witch gives you for icecrown buffs work in the new dungeons? The ones in Zul'Drak do for Gundark...

I had a hell of time with Utguard Keep when I first started out. Pinnacle was a little intimidating until I figured out Skadi it was EZ mode after that.
