Boosting w/ RAF

I wouldn't do it this way if you are planning on using Account A to boost B & C. The reason being is that being level 70 on A would keep you from getting RAF on B&C.

Pretty much if you want to boost with your 70 you would need to get account B and RAF C and have both independent from A.

Ok, so if I waited the 90 days for the link to expire between A and B. And recruited C with B. Would that work with A boosting B & C?

Im not sure if anyone would have a definitive answer since nobody has reached the 90 days yet...

A B & C would get 3x xp if they are all the same level (and below level 60), If B & C are grouped they will get 3x xp (per the stated conditions), if A & B are grouped they will get 3x xp, if A & C are grouped niether gets 3x xp.

That being said, I have a group of linked characters that are not the same level (1-3 level difference) that are still getting the boosted xp regardless.

I have also compelted quests and got 3x xp when my linked character was not on the quest (but in the party).

But will B & C get 3x xp if A (level 70) is in the party? I think you covered every combination but this one hehe.

As long as the 70 is not part of the RAF link the other two would get 3x XP minus the offset from having a higher character killing mobs gray to them.

For example with a 5 person group in SM My RAF toons where getting close to 310xp per kill at level 20 from having my mage boost them.

Honestly the best thing for what you are wanting is to use two new accounts. With new account #1 refer new account # 2. Then boost with your old account. You will miss out on the free month and mount other than on your new account # 1 but this will allow you to boost with your old account without losing RAF on one or both of the other accounts.

Yeah, I just saw that on WoW's main page. Good thing I didn't get any new accounts.

Think I'll just stick to RAF questing right now.

How are you sticking to RAF questing if you didn't get new accounts? Color me confused...

i think maybe if the lvl 70 had no relation to any of the other account, it might work..
like have your main account linked to accounts 2,3, and 4

then have an already owned account/make a new account and transfer a 70 to that one.... therefore, all the RAF accounts are in no relation to the 70

I guess I should have said any *more* new accounts. I was contemplating getting a new boosting independent account, as I already had a vet and recruit.

Did they fix the boosting RAF's with lvl 70, or does it still work?

Still works *for now* and is not an exploit *for now* but is going to be changed as soon as Blizz can do so.
