    Default Extremely Low Framerate

With the new invite a friend deal, I finally decided to give multiboxing a try. The problem I'm having though, is that as soon as I start a second session of wow and log in, my framerate takes a nose-dive. My hardware configuration:

    2.4ghz Core 2 Duo
    2GB Ram
    100GB SATA II HD
    Nvidia 8800 GT Video Card

Now, when I play normally (1 session of WoW), my framerate is usually around 60fps with the graphics turned all the way up. For my second session, I put both sessions in Windowed mode and lowered the graphics on the second session to minimum on everything, but it's still only giving me 3-5 FPS in each session. Are there any specific settings folks change on their video card to get better performance? It just seems extremely low for the hardware I have. Any other thoughts/suggestions?

    Thanks!

believe it or not but this has actually happened to me, when i will get "strange" frame rates i jump ALL video settings up and crank the card.

I have an 8800gt superclocked edition. The card has had some weird functions within it. If wont "jump" to the super clocked mode if the computer does not feel like its being pressed enough so its potential is harnessed. When i jump all the settings up it almost scares the card, turns on superclocked, and performs with better frame rates.

Weird but its happened a number of times.

Also ctrl + alt + del, and see what things you are running in the back ground, very excessive things are not needed, some say a firewall is necessary, i havent heard of anyone getting a virus while playing wow. Turn off some back ground applications and see how it works,

Lastly, update your drivers, that should be as common as brushing your teeth.

Windows XP OS, application is Wow, of course. I'm really not running anything else at the moment. I'm using the latest driver from Nvidia's website. So I guess something must be odd with the card. I'll fiddle with it a bit more after raid time tonight and see if I can figure anything else out.

as suggested above, use Ctrl+Alt+Del to check what processes your comp is running and check how much Ram is being used. Also when the question was asked what app, i believe it was in reference to Keyclone or octopus, mainly dualboxing software, which one ur using would be good to know incase any accidental settings are on. I found windowed mode on a decent computer to be stressful to the computer to an extent, i'd recommend using a maximizer software from keyclone or octopus to open 2 applications of WoW instead of just opening 2 on your own.

in the start menu, the run command and type in msconfig, then under the startup tab make sure useless programs aren't starting with your computer as it eats away at your ram and without ram your frame rate will be utter crap. 2gigs should be able to run 2 apps with no problem as i was using 2 gigs to run 5 accounts, the only problem being in orgrimmar and shattrah. I now have 3 gigs and have no problem spots, hoping to upgrade to 4 for good measure soon.

anyways hopefully u can figure out your problem im sure everyone on here will help as much as they possibly can.

Not sure if this would help at all, but you could try duplicating your WOW folder, and run one from the first original folder, and the other from the duplicated folder.
I knwo i used to have random Blue Screens of Death before i did this.

Ok, my graphics card is a EN7600GT SILENT (i'm not too clued up but on the box it says "Silentcool2" , "Nvidia Essential Vista" , PCI Express 256MB DDR3" ) (ASUS)
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz 1.87GHz)
3 GB DDr2 PCI- Express RAM
    Windows Vista 32-bit
Yes I know that it is not very good but i only dual box.
Any of you have an idea of what my CPU usage should be at running WoWX1 and then Firefox (with one tab open on www.dual-boxing.com) - Im seeing above 50% CPU usage, about 30 FPS Max graphics
