How many world of warcraft accounts are needed for this using Keyclone? And would anyone mind briefly explaining keyclone to me... I purchased it thinking that's what a friend of mine from work was telling me about, but the more I read in these forums, the more I think this may not do what he was talking about, or maybe HE was confused...

He said I only needed one WoW account... can anyone tell me if this is true?

To play multiple characters at one moment, you need 2 accounts. You cannot multi/dualbox with just one account.
Tho you could try it out using a trialaccount, later on you'll have to pay.

you need one account, in YOUR name, per toon you want to run at the same time.

Sounds like your friend was describing a cheating/bottom program and no, nothing on these forums will play the game for you in any way shape or form, and I hope that if that's what you ARE after that you get banned promptly should you find it. If not and you are interested in multiboxing/playing 2-5 chars at once legitimately, then yes you're in the right place There's tons of faqs and wikis and even how-to vids now to get ya started, once ya got a specific question about how something works we can usually answer those ;p

I wasn't inquiring about anything the played the game FOR you. What would be the fun in that? No, I enjoy playing the game thank you... It sounds to me like HE was mistaken about being able to play more than one of your toons simultaneously from one account . That's really all I wanted to know b/c I only currently have one account.

I hope you used the new recruit-a-friend to set up your second account
There's alot of good tutorials and how-to's, including a recently posted video, that should get you up to speed and running
