Multi boxing with 2 accounts on 1 pc for LOTRO

Hey all, new to these boards, used to multi box ( used 2 accounts on one machine ) back in WoW and finally got bored.

Primarily do it to keep my gf's account up to date.

In LOTRO, you cant open two sessions because it detects and states you already have one session opened.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way around this, some said to install a 2nd copy on your hd but if you try to install again, only options = 1. Upgrade/Repair 2.Uninstall so i cant get around that.

Any ideas?

Innerspace would more than likely be as illegal in LOTRO as it is in WoW. Not going to deny that for either game they are probably the best Multi-boxing software available, If you can learn how to script you can make extremely versatile characters who can perform a greater variety of functions that if you were just multiboxing the legal way.

What exactly is the deal with Innerspace? It seems like it sort of Virtualizes the game (encapsulates it with its own code and fools it into thinking it is running on a normal system when in fact it is being commanded by scripts?) and allows you to basically bot / multibox that way? I know the original author had a lot to do with EqWindows / WinEQ 2 and all of those type of programs.

Not exactly sure about either ones legality (potential to violate the EULA) - it seems that Innerspace is most likely illegal given the entire point of it (I think) is to script and bot but I don't want to jump to any conclusions given that I have never explored it or even really figured out what EXACTLY it is for.

WinEq2 I don't like because it is subscription based and that sucks. plus it sends a lot of data back to the author - something I also don't like. The functions are neat and all but I have never heard if Bliz has any issues with it or not. I know that a lot of players used it for DAoC and EQ though and its use is rather limited to window management and helping multiboxing.

Innerspace itself is a development platform for interaction with DirectX games. The creator, Lax, is the same guy who's been Running MacroQuest (An EQ Botting platform) for the last few years.

Innerspace basically interacts with the memory of a WOW session. It is protected from Warden by an extension named ISXWarden which essentially feeds the Warden servers bogus information, making it look like you are doing nothing wrong.

As far as Virtualizing the game - not yet, but its in the pipe, it simply runs wow from within its own Process. So it still has the HUGE WoW memory footprint - basically making botting a Raid or group impossible on one PC.

Its networking capabilities are great, so for Multiboxing, its great. Illegal, but great.

Multiboxers attract enough attention as it is, so I would really advise against using this on your level 70 Main's ;-)

It's amusing to me how far people are willing to go to bot games but given the economic rewards.... it does not surprise me.

Can't you get around the Warden by running WoW through Linux as well? Obviously if you are "emulating" windows (yes, I know Wine/Cedega is not an emulator) but WoW works about 95% - only a few bugs here and there on linux. I still don't see any chance of boxing a raid or anything without some considerable (and very intelligent) scripting - which goes against what I am doing, the spirit of the game and really is not possible given current computer processing power anyway. How do you program a program to "know" what it is doing and be aware of its surroundings? You could do so in Ultima Online and the like due to the rather simple and constant isometric viewpoint, ease of getting coordinate information and repetitive tasks and combat that were easy to macro.

WoW is a whole 'nother beast but its not like people aren't taking cracks at it - Glider, etc are out there and while people can and do get banned using them, its not like they are going to go away.

At any rate, I figured I would leave Innerspace alone. Everything I need to do, I can do with in game macros, intelligent hardware design and practice.

Agreed, were to help others maximize their potential at playing more than 1 character, botting / cheating is not what this site is aimed for.
