5 Shaman Elementalist vs Restoration PVE

I have this dillema, I'm level 50 w/ my shamans right now, I've been doing pure elementlist route just got totem of wrath and its pretty sweet. I have an issue w/ down time/drink cost and was wondering if i went w/ a 30/0/31 path with all of them to get mana tide. I figured i could pull mobs right after the other w/ mana tide on a round robin. I dunno if my dps would suffer dramatically. Anyone have experience w/ this? Thanks for the input.

You have 5 mate. Once you hit outland, you'll be 1 shotting mobs and water shield will give you the mana you need. In my opinion it's not worth speccing any resto until you hit 70 (and only then if it fits your playstyle/requirements).

running in the world is fine, but usually after 2-3 pulls in a dungeon I have to drink.

It wouldn't stop you having to drink by having a resto shammy. You have no tank, so you're gonna get hit in instances anyway. Overall it would just slow you down at any point up till 70 imo, or at least until you have your first earth elementals at L66.

Just get the lvl 50 blue shammy totem from ST. That is a mini-mana tide and it is available to all specs. Do you have any elder gear in your plans? It has stam/int and mp5 on it. But it lvl 57+ only. I just watch the AH and get what I can to give a boost to my mostly only owl gear.
