Default What happened to my framerate??

    Hi everyone,

New to this so be a little understanding please. Anyways I have a dual core 2.4ghz, 2GB ram, 8800GTX machine connected to a dell 30" monitor (2560X1600). Before I found out about dual-boxing.com I ran just two windows of WoW. I had zero problems and my framerates were unlimited. Then I found this forum.....

Ok so what I did: I downloaded keyclone and setup my 30" to display 5 windows (3 across top and 2 on bottom half), however I did not actually play wow. I just loaded it up and congratulated myself on getting that to work. Then I started up my normal 2 windows of WoW(closed keyclone) and now whichever window is NOT the focus has framerates of like 10! What the hell? What happened?? I tried disabling all video extras and received no improvement. Help please! ?(

Keyclone has a command that lets you change the maxfps. I'm guessing you changed this to 10? :P

To fix it via Keyclone. (Open keyclone) Setup > Command Editor -> click on your setup names -> change fps.
To do it in WoW? It is something like /console setmaxfps #. # being the number. (also /console setmaxbkfps # - meaning when it isn't the active window it will stay at the fps you desire)

    (Love the monitor though)

    p.s Welcome to DB.com

Ah, I have my fps set in Keyclone at 45 and setmaxbkfps = 5 (just like he shows you in the video)

He didnt really explain what setmaxbkfps was, just said to set it to 5. I guess that is the fps limit for when that window isn't active? Makes more sense now, thank you!
