    Default Game performance idea :P

So today i tried out my first multi boxing and i wanted to go for x5. I have lowered every single option at video, sound to the minimal and took out all the addons to every char exept the one i will actually be playing. The game still ran poorly so i got this idea. Is there any way to unplug graphics and all the stuff on other 4 wows that is killing your computer for no reason? So then you could run 5 games with no problem as you would only run 1 at good performance. Theres no need for other 4 games to be running at good performance. Maybe its a little dumb but maybe it can be done?

You can set up 5 different copies of WoW on your hard drive, or you can set up a few macros on each account that you'll have to set each time you load up.

What I do since I just use one install of WoW is when I'm logging out on my last account I'll click the Medium or Low Detail macro. When you log out your settings upon your next log in for all 5 accounts is determined by your last logout, so if you set that final logout to Low Detail it will keep that setting for all five when you start up again. Then you can just click High Detail on your main and your others will remain in Medium or Low Detail. Simple and easy and I don't need to install 5 copies of WoW to save settings the way I'd like them to be.

Anyone know the console commands for the sound settings? How about voice chat?

Don't forget to set maxfps and maxfpsbk (the more important of the two). I use:

    /console maxfps 25
    /console maxfpsbk 5

The first one sets the maximum fps for the currently selected client and the second one sets the maximum fps when the client is in the background. On my system, setting maxfpsbk to less then 5 causes following problems. YMMV

no need for console commands on the sound - just go to Options->Sound Tab-> disable sound.

What if you wanted to use a macro for it?

your biggest performance savings, bar none, is restricting the fps on your wows.

in keyclone, set up a command for each wow you want to run... and set the maxfpsbk and maxfps.
on slower systems, 5 and 25 works good. on better systems, i use 20/50 and have no problems
