Default Pc Status. Is it good to 5 box in that single pc?

    Good morning,

I recently started multiboxing and after setting all the macros i can play smooth and switch 'main' with the strike of a button.
I had major lag spikes and even crashes some times every time i was passing through Orgrimar.
For that, i ordered a pc with these requirements. I would like people who know, to tell me if it's going to help me play lag free in major bg's
and when i'm passing through crowded places. Thank you in advance for reading and responding to my topic.

    PC Requirements:

    Cpu Intel Core 2 Xtreme Qx 9650 (s775\3,00) X 1
    M/B Asus Striker 2 Extreme (775, Ddr3, 790) X 1
    Svga Pci-Ex Evga Gtx280 1GB X 2
    Ram 2GB Kit Ddr3 Transcend Axeram 1800 X 2
    Hdd Sata II 500GB Seagate - 32 MB - 7200 RPM X 1
DVDRW +/- DL Samsung Sata 22X BL Bulk X 1
    Powersuply 1200 Watt-24Pin Chieftec. X 1

I don't actually undertsand all of them, but with the computer's assistant we made this pc since i told him i want to make a strong beef box.
Is it anything i must know before i made the purchase? Any change on the machine? Maybe what windows will i use? Heard Vista 64 for better perfomance.
PS: For the sake of record my monitor is a 32'.

    Best regards, Theo.

dood you need way more ram. Each instance of wow takes around 300 and up of ram. You need at LEAST 4 and a 64 bit OS. Besides from that its a rocking machine. I have a similiar setup.
The last thing the enemy will see is my Muzzle Flash of Freedom!

made a small edit. Some parts of the pc are twice. Like the Svga pci-ex evga Gtx 280 1Gb and the Ram 2GB kit ddr3 transcend Axeram 1800.
So ? does it still need more ram in order to run smooth 5 boxing through crowded places and instances?

    Ill tell you this:

WoW is NOT anywhere near games like COD4, or even CS source for that matter.

    My rig:

    Q6600
    4gb shit ram
    8800gts 320mb

And I can run 5 across 2 monitors... my main runs at full settings, and others run at medium-low settings... I get 30-60fps on all of them.

Frankly, your rig is a lot better than mine. So I doubt you'll have troubles.

EDIT: Notice you havnt bought it yet... I would only go with 1 gtx280 if I were you. ( unless you plan on running Crysis at full settings, 2 is pointless, read below )

PS: Running 280's SLI is no better than 1 gtx280. WoW doesn't even use the second one... however that being said, a 280 is an amazing card, so you'll be fine.

PSx2: I just ordered a gtx260 ftw edition ( which is about the same as a 280 )... so Ill post impressions!

    Hdd Sata II 500GB Seagate - 32 MB - 7200 RPM X 1

Wow.. 5-boxing doesn't require so much money to be spent though. Why be in such a rush with everyone around here answering this question plenty of times. You can get along JUST fine with something like this:
    q9450 $330
    asus p5q-e p45 $160
    8gb (2x4gb ocz ddr2-800) $221
    hd 4850 $170 x2 = $340
    750gb samsung f1 hdd (32mb / sata 3.0gb/s) $110
    samsung DVDR/CDR sata w/lightscribe $30
    seasonic m12 700w psu $170
cpu cooler.. thermalright 120 ultra $60 or thermalright ifx $80
    vista64 ultimate $180
    antec p182 case $140
$1761 with case and ifx heatsink.. and you'll still have 2 more RAM slots to upgrade to 16GB (which this mobo supports, the striker 2 extreme maxes out at 8gb.) The CPU/mobo will overclock to QX9650 speeds, so it's a great way to have virtually the same performance for $1000 less.

Well that's my point partially, but i am also playing in my current pc wich has some problem with its soundcard and the video card too.
Sound freeze, motion freeze and i have to reboot every now and then. Slacks big time when im in any isntance or just before bg ends.
One question (yea i love questions)
I was going to buy the vista 64 just for the fact that i could use more than 4gb ram.
The assistant on the shop told me that the32 cannot see more than 4gb ram but also the 64 cannot see more than 4gb ram.
He also told me that with the 64, i could have problem running some programmes like nero for example. Is that true? Did i bought the vista 32 while i could have the 64 and place my desired 8gb (or more) ram?
I'm total nab in hardwares, thanks for the help

Who is this shop? They have no idea what they're doing, and they shouldn't be feeding garbage info to customers. You could have some problems with programs not made for 64-bit OS's, but 32-bit emulation *usually* works without a problem. There's no way I'd limit myself of memory by going with a 32-bit OS now, unless I knew a specific application I needed to use did not work at all on a 64-bit OS.

At my work, our IT guy just built us a machine for building terrain databases (and he was on a major budget, so no $4000+ Dell Xeon business box), and it's got the following working fine:
    q9650
asus p45 board (i'm not sure which model, but likely the p5q-e)
16gb ocz ddr2-800 (yes, it has at least 14GB of free memory)
vista 64 ultimate & Red Hat Linux dual-boot.
nero 8 (everything runs fine in 32-bit emulation mode, except for InCD and Scout)
We frequently have to burn very large files, and Nero is usually what we use. We don't have a problem with burning CDs and DVDs in Vista 64.

I would strongly suggest borrowing someone's similar rig and seeing for yourself, before blowing all that cash. Plenty of people would love to see their machine 5boxing wow that want bragging rights. You will save quiet a bit of cash.

Also if there is no reason to fill out an entire PO I wouldn't. Get the gear you feel you really need and then the 'undecided' gear cannibalize or borrow to test drive.

With the way people burn through gear, you can get a graphics card of a kid pretty quick.
