    Default Keyclone Questions

I am setting up my PC for dual-boxing WoW and have a few questions. I've read several of the guides and have started configuring my setup using Keyclone 1.8k and need some help. My screen resolution is 1680x1050 with a 22" monitor.

    1. I will have two characters I'm dual-boxing. I'd like to have them split horizontally, each with an equal amount of the screen size. I decided to choose 1600x600 (widescreen) for the resolution so that it would fill up the whole space. Is this a good resolution? I probably would have preferred 1280x768, but it wasn't an option.

    2. At one point, it was working so that the main character's screen would be maximized to full screen and then it only showed the "slave" when I alt-tabbed to it. I don't have that working anymore, where would I configure that? Also, can I setup a keybind to display the "slave" account, such as F1?

    3. Is there a way to configure it so that the key multi-cast does not happen when I'm entering the password of the slave account?

Any other configuration tips and tricks of things you change on initial setup?

horizontally you will have a LOT of space side to side and be squished top to bottom. If you want 1 above, 1 below you could rotate your monitor 90 degree's and do two side by side, they would be 1050 wide by 840 tall, which is close to a normal 4:3 window. Depends really if your monitor supports this or if you'd need to buy a stand... Since you are using KeyClone I'd go ahead and set the resolution static on the maximizer, you can type in values such as 1680x525.

Note: For this you set your resolution in KeyClone NOT in game. Keyclone then sets the resolution in the config.wtf and if you change your in game graphics settings it tends to pooch things if you are using custom graphics resolution from keyclone. Til you reload wow that is.

Maximizer, just create two regions that overlap each otehr. You can set a PIP hotkey in maximizer and set it to F1 for 1 region and F2 for the other and pressing the key opposite of the region you have selected will swap them... press it again and they return to normal.

Override is your friend. By default it's the Pause/Break button normally found above the home/end/pageup/pagedown/insert/delete cluster of keys between the keyboard and the number pad. Tap this, password away, tap it again to turn keyclone back on.

Thanks for the reply. The PiP hotkey is very nice. Here's the current setup I'm thinking of doing:

This way I keep the main character screen fairly large and then the slave character still visible to see what's going on with the character and then I can use PiP hotkey to swap between the two. What do you think? Anyone else found a better config? I probably should try to dig up a second monitor at some point.

BTW, I'm going to be playing Warlock on main screen and then shaman on second screen. I'm currently leveling up my shaman, got tired of doing quests, so I"m going to level him up through dungeons with my main. Part of the reason for trying to figure this out is I'm planning on getting my shaman to 70 before the expansion pack so that I can level both of them at the same time.
