Default to Whom ever though it was funny to change my WoW account Sig line

I posted this morning with a link that for some reason
Gave people access to Logging in as me on the WoW forums

To who ever decided it was funny to change my sig on my account
I have contacted Blizzard and stated what happened your IP will
Be logged and I will go as far as needed to see that you never do something
    Like this again to someone…

Yes, I did not know that cut and pasting a http line would allow someone
To link in as me, but that doesn’t give you the right to mess with my account

And to be honest I feel violated, and if I can prosecute I will.

Enjoy your lol at my expense, hopefully It will be your last as a WoW player.

and a thank you to Basilikos for pointint it out to me.

What? You're accusing a DB.com member of hacking your account?

    Seriously, go away.
I do my best not to respond to you, due to the "jerk" nature of your posts.

No my account has NOT been hacked
No my account is NOT compromised.

and yes due to my Not knowing that cut and paste while logged in at the WoW forms
could allow someone to be linked in as me this happened...
and IF you don't know that happens, your more of a fool than I think..

this is the only place I linked it and the only place it could have happened.
so yes that is what I am saying, and NO ill not accuse a long time user or
a Real Multi-Boxer.. but there are people who come here and post that
    are NOT good people...

I accuse you of being a jerk
but I would NEVER accuse you nor any of the old timers here on this board
    of doing something like it...

Get off your High horse and THINK...

    Thanks

Depending on browser settings sometimes session information is encoded into the URL. In the event that the session has expired this is a non issue, however since his session was active the first people who used his original link hijacked his session.

They don't know his U/P. They don't have access to the site. This is a horrible design flaw in the blizzard forums. Since the thread was linked here it is most likely some DB.com visitor was the one who changed his sig.

He's not accusing, he's just stating what I'd say are pretty solid facts.

I don't get it, what did you post that allowed someone else to log into your account ? Did you post a link to your account or something?

Edit. Ok, thanks Zanthor, I get it now, I was not aware of that.

So what did they change your sig to ?

I want to thank the majority of the community for all the resources that have been provided, but it just tires me to see all of the negative, elitest, and down right unnecessary comments that a few members have been posting. Good luck to you all.

Nearly all of you in this thread need to calm down. The OP posted a link on the DB forums that included some of his session information. He later removed the link appropriately once he realized people could click on the link and end up "signed in" as himself.

Someone took control of his World of Warcraft forum account and used that control to edit his signature. This is inappropriate behavior, but something we cannot track. It very well could have been a anonymous guest (since our forums are public) who was visiting DB who did this. In any case, it was wrong and they should not have taken advantage of such an innocent mistake.

Is it the OP's fault? No, it's a flaw in Blizzard's forum design. The only way he would have known that he was passing out his forum control within the link itself is if he already knew and saw the session information in the link, or if someone else who clicked on it noticed the error. If you're not a tech-oriented person, I wouldn't expect you to know that the session information was included in the link. He was not hastily throwing around account information -- it was an honest mistake.

To the people in this thread to immediately rushed to flame him -- please do not jump to conclusions. You're just making yourselves look like jerks. Re-read his post, because it was clear you didn't take the time to do so in the first place. He never said he gave out his account information. He very clearly said:
I posted this morning with a link that for some reason
Gave people access to Logging in as me on the WoW forums
He also never claimed it was a DB member. So don't act so victimized. He posted it on these forums because that's where he posted the link that included his session information, that ended up letting someone "hack" his forum information.
His World of Warcraft account name and password have not been comprimised -- his forum account ACCESS was comprimised, but not the login information.

Now everyone sit down and play nice. Stop swearing at each other for no reason, stop acting like little children, and stop assuming that everyone is out to get you. We're a community -- start acting like one.
