    Default My RAF experience

Since there are too many threads with questions about the RAF feature (including one from me) i thought I whould just go out and try for myself.
    This is what i experienced:

    What I want:
I do own 5 accounts (i'll call them old1-old5) each with a level 70 shaman and a lvl 27 toon. My my first goal is to have triple xp for all 27 toons.

    What I did:
    * I went out and picked up 3 boxes of wow and bc.
    * I send an raf invitaion from old1 and created a trial account (new1).
    * I created level 1 toons on old1 and new1, grouped them and voila -> triple xp for both
I highly recommend that you do this test for all created trial accounts, I believed that if that works for one pair of accounts there will be no further problems (which was a mistake)
    * I upgraded new1 to full accout with bc and transfered the level 27 from old3 to new 1
    * I repeated those steps creating the new account new2 (with an raf invitation from old 2) and transfering the lvl 27 from old4 to new 2. I did this without testing if the link between the accounts was properly established.
    * I created the account new3 with an raf invitation from new2 and transfered my lvl 27 from old5 to new3.

Some time during all of this the euro account administration stopped working for a few hours. After it worked again (around 11 yesterday night) i was able to finish the transfers and log in my level 27 group containing the accounts old1, old2, new1, new2, new3. What a shock: only the accounts old1 and new1 were getting triple xp. According to the account administration the accounts old2, new2 and new3 were not properly linked. I tried to contact a GM but it was late and I went to bed.
This morning at work i opened the account administration for the accounts that were not properly linked yesterday night and the account links are displayed. Tonight I will be able to check if all chars are getting triple xp; atm I can only assume that this will be the case. If that is not the case I will edit this post and tell you about what happened.

    Lessons learned:
    * Check every account link you created by creating lvl 1 chars on the old and the new account and see if they get triple xp
    * Three new accounts are needed if you want a new group of 5 with triple xp for all
    * If you already started a new group (like i did) consider redoing it. I do not know how fast lvl 27 is available with triple xp but after performing all the actions described above I had spend 60€ for the transfers. If I were to do it again I whould probably just redo all 27s.

    Hope this helps,
    Bunny

    To confirm, you did :

    Old1 reffered New1 (Transferred Old3 to New1)

    Old2 reffered New2 (Transferred Old4 to New 2)

    New2 reffered New3 (Transferred Old5 to New3)

If so, that was exactly what I did, and it works 100% for me. But you need to be on all 5 in the same group at the same level. If you 2-box a toon from Old1 and New3 they won't get it. But as long they are there, all 5, it should work fine.

Thats exactly what I did. I asume that it will work tonight when I get home from work.
