    Default Dual-Box Class Suggestion

What's a good combo for dual-boxing? Yes, I know dual-boxing might not be ideal compared to 3/4/5 but still getting two characters to 70 with about the same amount of effort as 1 isn't bad, especially with the RAF bonus. I've read the forums, read the wiki, but most always have shaman + whatever for suggestion. I know most people in here suggest shaman for everything, but I find them boring and tedious (at least it was leveling to 20). I also have a 70 priest. I do have a 24 hunter I could get a character caught up to too. Main focus is PVE.

BTW some guy named l0de in IRC really needs to be banned. He's a complete asshole. Went into the IRC channel and asked the same question and got:
23:43 < Xilo> hmm... what's some good combo's for dual boxing? I looked on forums, everyone always says shaman, but I find shaman boring and tedious from playing it to 20... I
also already have a 70 priest, but have a 24 hunter I could bring a toon up to pace with.
23:48 < l0de> dual boxing is boring and a waste of time
    23:48 < l0de> Do 5 or don't bother imo
23:49 < Xilo> mm yeah okay thanks for the very inciteful answer to my quest... right...
    23:49 < Xilo> question*
23:50 < l0de> Learn to spell insightful, you simpering dolt.
23:51 < Xilo> Are you always such an elitist asshole?
    23:51 < l0de> Only when confronted with self-righteous idiocy
23:51 < Xilo> If you're not going to answer a simple question, just keep your opinion to yourself and shut the fuck up.
23:52 < l0de> What if: I just continue doing my thing, completely oblivious to your sorry nerd plight?
23:52 < l0de> Dual boxing is a waste of time in WOW.
    23:52 < Xilo> That's your opinion.
    23:53 < l0de> I'm right.
    23:53 < l0de> You're: an idiot.
23:53 < Xilo> Not everyone cares to 5 man instances and shit
23:53 < l0de> Why bother at all then?
    23:54 < l0de> 2boxing doesn't acomplish anything
23:54 < l0de> It's not substantially more efficient than playing a single account well in any field
23:55 < l0de> Shit in PVE, PVP, and anything else you'd care to name.
23:55 < l0de> So go ahead, waste your time, dolt.
Day changed to 08 Aug 2008
00:05 < Ukoj> So are you too stupid to type "You're an idiot" and need an addon for it or do you think that the : is in proper grammer? Before being a grammar nazi and an overall
douchebag to other people think about what the fuck you're doing.
00:06 < l0de> The colon is there to represent me shitting all over you and your ideas.
He was being an asshole to everyone. Really leaves a bad impression on even thinking of going to the IRC channel...

[s]i guess Multiboxers are just normal human beings, there is always a % that will use internet's anonymity to become complete asshats.
Try again, better luck next time.[/s]
    Damn you edited your post?

I think the main thing about multiboxing (2, 3, 5, x) is the burst damage. The idea of having x times the burst and take down any mob before they even come close.
For this, Elem Shamies (NS+EM+SL) or mages (PoM+Pyro) are perfect examples. Very high front loaded dmg.
i think locks/hunters would probably do well for that. Anything but melee classes i guess, since they require a much finer positioning which is not very easy with toons on follow.

It really boils down to what you enjoy playing, but remember that shamies are very weak in the early levels, and grow exponentialy after 40 :-)
    good luck

Yeah, I heavily edited my original post since no one had replied yet. Sorry about that.

Basically, my goal is to just have another 70 on a separate account to have access to and not to go crazy and try to solo arenas and instances. I've been thinking about having another account for a while now, and the 3x experience bonus along with the level gifting just sealed the deal because even being partied you still get 1.5x more xp than solo for kills along with the 3x for quests. Then I could dump 30 levels or however many max you get onto another character.

I'm still in college with a crappy computer and have car payment, insurance, along with my FFXI account that I pay for, so I can't afford financially and technically to go with more than 2. I've been thinking of doing some combination with Hunter, Druid, Mage, Paladin and maybe Warlock. Duplicates not too big of a deal.

Any decent duo combos for those classes? I'm sure a lot could work out fine, but some probably have better syncing and less micro managing than others.

If I were going to dual box, I'd use one of these combos

Warlock-priest -- Dots, synergy, easy to control and similar in many ways, mindblast/Shadbolt+Shadowburn/SWDeath is deadly.
Frost mages -- because of shatters
AP/POM/Scorch build mage x2 -- lots of burst, lots of synergy
AP/POM/Scorch mage- Destro fire lock -- Lots of synergy, WotLK these two will synergize better than spriest/afflic, lots of burst.
    Warrior-RestoShaman- healbot+windfury+warrior, yes plz.
Warrior-restodruid- Warrior + easiest healbot to dualbox.
Retpally-RestoShaman- Same as warrior +restoshaman, but less consistent dps, though more burst and survivability.

Can't think of any more off the top of my head right now.
