Default Can you refer a battlechest account?

Ya, I know this is the 37th RAF related thread. Sue me. :P

So my question is, can you use anything but a trial or online created account for the referee? I ask because of this verbage in the FAQ: "your recruit must create a new World of Warcraft account using the 10-day trial key in your invitation email".

I'm not sure what that means exactly, but it seems to imply I have to use whatever link I have in the e-mail. Or is there something in the account creation process that will ask me for this irregardless of how I got the account?

Anybody done this yet with a store-bought account? I'm confused!
No matter where you go, there you are.

You need to use the Recruit a Friend section in Account Management from your primary account to send out a refferal, in the email you are given a code, you need to use that code to create the account, you can then use the battlechest codes to upgrade the account.
