Thread: Warrior and ?

    Default Warrior and ?

After some testing and some great help here, I've got my 2 character set up working like a charm. I've decided that my guild and friends, as well as me PVPing later on need a warrior. Now I am second guessing myself as to what to make the 2nd character.

Things I will be doing with the duo:
    1. Leveling from 1-70
    2. Battlegrounds: Warrior charging in, alt probably staying back and supporting.
    3. Farming/factioning
    4. Seeing what all I can duo

I am willing to go warrior + anything, but I am thinking a healer is going to be important, which cuts my choices to 4. In addition, while it isn't my #1 concern, I would like the 2nd character to be able to add some dps to the duo while we level up/farm.

Does anyone have experience with a warrior + X, and have any advice on the best duo? If it would end up being much better, I could probably break down and run 3 characters, but I'm not sure if it would be a big enough boost to justify. Thanks!

I've tried Dualboxing Warrior/Rogue/Priest and while it's something that can be done, it's no joy. The priest side is gravy, you just /af someone, but the rogue/warrior sucks. The aspect of managing two melee classes is a bitch.

    I wouldn't mind a resto shammy.

Selfrez = wipe protection 1x per hour (untalented)
Totems can be either for the shammy or yourself (Windfury+Str+Healstream or WoA+ManaSpring+Str/Stoneskin/Tremor)
    Earthshield is set-it-and-forget-it

The single target heals aren't as great as a pally, but there are some neat mana efficiency changes in 2.3 that could change that - plus WF is a beast. Take a totembot as well as healbot.

Well, imo War/Shammy or War/Paladin is your best bet.

I personally prefer the War/Shammy combination because of one thing: windfury totem...nuf said

To compliment the warrior - you need a healing class. To maximise its usefulness you want it to dps as well.

For leveling/grinding go shadow priest - VE and mindflay it will heal and high dps at the same time.

A shammy also rocks - My 70 warrior (MS) has just started dragging my 60 shammy through outlands, windfurry is awesome. Casting dps is great as well.

Pallys and druids are (basically) good for healing only - the bulk of their dps come from melee or close range spells. Boxing with a melee clases in support is hard.

Pally would probably be the choice if you want to pvp. People don't behave like npc's.
