Best zones for leveling

On alliance side do you guys have any zones you really found the best leveling in?

I am 30 atm. I am looking at desolace, Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Highlands or Alterac Mountains.

If you have any other recommendations on zones for 40 to 50 or even 50 to 60 feel free to drop those by too.

Gathering quests are not that great in my experience... so any zones that are friendly to boxing helps.

If you're trying to avoid collect quests, you'll have to cherry-pick from the various zones for best results. I'd recommend turning in turtle meat and doing kill x quests in Southshore, then kill x quests in Arathi. You might be able to pull off Stromgarde stuff in your low to mid 30s as well, and the quest rewards are very nice there, xp-wise. After that, you can do either a couple in Alterac or head to Badlands, where you can get some nice xp doing turnins and quickies at 35+. This keeps you away from Kalimdor, minimizing your travel time. YMMV of course.

Searing gorge has some nice kill quests when you get that high, and if I remember correctly so does burning steppes. Some of the dustwallow quests are kill based, as are some of the race track/salt flat area in thousand needles.

stay away from shimmering flats in 1000s needles, worst xp my team seen to date / only collection quests and not 100% drop rate

Desolace doesn't have enough quests to justify the travel, IMHO.

I would get one of the free leveling guides and start at 30 - I have Azuarc's installed, I refer to it when I get bored or run out of quests. The reason I like it is it's pretty efficient at telling you were to grind and what order to pick up quests.

I HATE, loathe, despise, cannot stand 30-35. At least now you can pick up Dustwallow stuff at 35 - before, 30-40 was the *worst*, because the only place you can really load up on quests is Stranglethorn, and I've run that place so many times I have to grit my teeth to even drop by booty bay. The only good thing is the exp boost kicks in at 30, and now you can get the mount.

I tried to level 30-40 without going there, and it's not easy, you really need to look for quests. If you have a 5-man, you can start trying out Scarlet Monestary, too, or Gnomer.
