Default Wireless mice - sync with multiple recievers?

Just looking for a little advice on hooking up 1 wireless mouse to multiple wireless receivers.

I realize this is easy to do if you have wireless mice that have a step involving pairing - but many of the new wireless mice have this done with a mini-receiver that you plug into the pack of your machine - but the pairing is done at the manufacturer.

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the pairing information after purchase? I'm considering 4 Logitech LX7's and they each have a mini-receiver. Ideally I'd like to change the frequency on those receivers to all be identical, but I'm unsure if this can be done or how to do it if it can. Mr.Google hasn't been forthcoming in help so I thought I'd ask here where others may have run into this before.

    Thanks!

I've recrystaled pagers before, but never changed the frequency of a computer mouse.

You may just want to give them a call and ask them if it's possible.

Edit: They may even be able to give you a version that can.

Most (if not all) of the mice that I'm seeing at a vendor I use here have these mini-receivers that plug into a usb port on a machine. They're paired at the factory. Hoping I could pair all the mini-receivers to one mouse - kind of like the syncing that Fursphere is describing.

The MX is coded so it will only work with it's intended mouse, my wife and I both have them and I tried swapping and it didn't work. After looking at the USB Key they have a SN that is matched between both mouse and key.

Just buy 4 addtional identical receivers. Logitech lets you do this.

Then you just push all teh sync buttons, then finally the button on the mouse.

    Works like a charm.
This is what I do, I run 5 wireless myself.

You can buy a mouse, then buy 4 more receivers direct from Logitech designed for your mouse (they'll ask you for the numbers off the bottom of your mouse) is what Fur is saying.

Ahhh I get it. Very handy.

I also did some more digging and was able to find out that with Logitech's, when you install the SetPoint software (downloadable from their site if it doesn't come with your mouse) there is a utility that gets installed called "Connect Utility" (located in the Logitech program group on your start menu). This tool alllows you to sync a mouse with a different reciever. Pretty simple on screen instructions.

Maybe this post can help someone else who runs into similar problems =\
