    Default 3 Box Questing

    Hey guys,

I just started last night on 3 boxin my shamans and might I say it works amazing, but man o man did I level slow. In about an hour and a half I got 6 levels.

My main problem is quests. Is there an easy way to accept quests on all my characters?

I setup keyclone with PiP and the PiP was not that great. It started out great but after about 15 minutes everytime I would mouse over the PiP window it would spin the camera and then kick my mouse to windows #1. If I wanted to change any settings on my Maximizer or keyclone at all I had to do it within the first 5 minutes or it would simply not allow me. Like I would click setup and I would be unable to select any option on the left hand side and would have to shut the program dow nand restart it.

I run vista and Keyclone 1.8k

Whats the easiest way to level? I am running 3 shams and my wife is running a warrior.

You can download the addon "multiboxer" or some others that will automate tasks like accepting group, accepting shared quests etc. I usually grab the quest on my "main" and share it. The slaves automatically accept unless it is a chain or something that requires each one to get it. The PiP thing seems to work great for me, or if I feel like straining the eyes i just mouse over to the other monitor. I have octopus setup to automatically change the mouse focus to the current window.

Valtrex is right, the easiest way I've found is to use that mod and share the quests to the clones. I only do the "Kill X of Y" quests though as the gathering ones will drive you insane alt tabbing between screens to loot.

    I'm also 3boxing shamans, just started yesterday morning. 1 Level 70 shaman, 2 level 18 shaman's now.

Are you running 3 shamans the same level?

In Keyclone setup, uncheck 'Focus Follows Mouse' this will stop the hover-over from changeing windows on you. You'll have to click once to change window.

Even with a widescreen main window, you need to get a 2nd monitor. Most video cards can handle 2 monitors, and somtimes the motherboard can have a monitor in it. You might need a converter for female-male attachments on the monitor though. But even just a 17" CRT monitor, you should use 2 or more.

Have your video card settings 'Set up Multiple displays', and you want 'Dualview', this will allow you to move your mouse from 1 monitor to the other. it's like having 1 really rectangle monitor, but 2 screens.

In Keyclone, set your 2 follower accounts Region startup area on monitor2. Each taking 1/4 of the screen. I have Character2 in the 1/4 of topleft of the screen, and Character3 the same but bottom right. I have Ventrilo in the topright, and Keyclone options, and Media Player in the bottomleft, no more alt tabbing from my Main to do those things!

I only got both on the same monitor because I havent gone out to buy a cheap $60 PCI video card to hold 2 more monitors. I have about 11 monitors in my house I can use, 17", 19" CRTS, and 17" - 23" LCD's, and widescreens. Once I get that cheap video card, I'm going to do a 4-monitor setup. Main character on a 21" LCD Widescreen, my 2 other characters each one a 17", and going to have 1 more monitor that'll have Keyclone options, Ventrilo, Media Player, Facebook, Thottbot & Youtube browzer.

Your wife probably plays beside you, so dont put too many monitors in her way if you decide to use lots of monitors.

I have my PiP set so it can swap out between the 3 characters making each one on my main monitor by Shift-F1, Shift-F2, Shift-F3.

You'll want to make a script for each character that allows them to auto-accepts quest sharing. Make sure your WoW interface settings have quick quest text on. This will allow you to gather about 70% of quests from your Main, and just share them with your 2 other characters, they will autoaccept them.

The fastest way for now for you to level is questing, bare with it until you can do instances.

Is your wife's warrior always going to be with you? Will she outlevel you or wait? Will you outlevel her or wait?

If she is going to stay with you, you'll be able to do instances. Your wife can tank, and you can heal/dps. When you have 3 shamans healing at once, use a lower rank heal, lol. 4-man instances at a higher level then a 5-man party set up would do, and just stay in that instance until you get bored of it. I believe instances is faster then questing. You can probably 4-man Rage Fire Chasm, or whatever at level 14, stay there until 17-19, then 4-man Wailing Caverns until 22, then Shadowfang Keep until 27ish? Stay in Shadowfang Keep as long as possible, you might get those twink weapons. They sell 2k each on my server.

Even if you instance, you can still go back to questing. This is my setup here....

I quested 3 shamans to 8. 1 was on my main account. Once level 8, I deleted the one on my main account, went onto my 70 shaman. I ran RFC at level 8, each run gave EACH of my 2 guys 55% of a level. It dropped a bit as they leveled up. At level 13 I went to WC for a couple levels, everytime I went to a higher level instance, it went up to 55% of a level per run. At 15 I went to Shadowfang, where I stayed until 18, about 8 runs. Then I just went on my 2 level 18's, without my 70, tried to quest in Barrens, and it took me over and hour to get 30% of a level, I could've done 2 runs in that time of SFK and gotten 3x more exp. So when I go back on today, going to go back to instances.

    Hope this helped!
