Switching from 1x Pally 4x Shammy to 1xP, 1xSham, 3xMage

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to multiboxing but have tried out 5 boxing and am hooked. My team just reached lvl 40 mostly by instancing, but I am starting to feel like something is missing. I have 1x Prot Pally, 1x Resto Shammy, and 3x Ele Shammies currently. I am flirting with the idea of swapping out the DPS slots with 3x mages.

I do not PvP at all, I am strictly interested in doing the endgame 5 mans and heroics.

I understand both team combos have been successful, I guess my question is will the swap of the shammies for mages have a big positive impact on my ability to do heroics etc or is the CC from sheep overrated?

From my solo experience I know my most successful groups have been mage heavy, but I'm sure I will miss the ease of dropping 4x totems

Well, you have a pally tank so I don't think sheep will make a difference at all. You don't want to be sheeping instead of aoe tanking it all. When I solo on my proto pally I know mages that sheep are simply wasting their mana and losing dps.
