    Default Pondering Dual-Boxing

    Howdy!

    Here's the situation:

I currently have a level 70 Mage/Hunter/Warlock/Druid(Feral) on the only account that I own. I also have a Paladin/Shaman plus a handful of banking alts, which has led to me running out of character slots, so I am looking to open another account.

Altaholic is my middle name and my next leveling project is a Rogue. So now I am pondering how to go about adding another account. I was thinking of transferring one of the 70's to my secondary account in order to be able to use them to powerlevel my Rogue and possibly my Paladin/Shaman too. Would it be a better idea to only have the Rogue on the second account? I could use some advice as I'm sure there's a lot of factors I'm missing.

I don't have any plans to play two characters in a raid with others, but I could see myself doing some odd PvP although nothing serious.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Get the second account (refer yourself for a free month of WoW via the Recruit A Friend option). Don't spend the extra $25 just to move an existing 70 to a new account. Put the rogue there. Anything from your bank alts mail to an existing 70 and trade to the rogue while grouped up...

I have 2 70 hunters, NE and Orc. Possibly the fastest for powerleveling. I took my NE priest from 25-50 over a weekend of pretty hardcore questing and a few SM runs for the good clothie gear. The revised XP curves from 20-60 are crazy.

Most of us will say the same thing... Why stop at only 2 accounts

Seriously though, enjoy, and even though most of us here box 3 or more...there are ALWAYS good resources to be found.

    Good Luck!

First of all thanks for the fast reply

I have already started my Rogue and have no desire to start over from scratch, thus I will be paying the 20€ it costs to transfer one of my 70's. Keep in mind that the 70 might also be used to boost other alts in the future. However, I am still pondering if Hunter is the best option. For me it's not just a question of getting the character to 70 in a hurry, but also the viability of doing some odd PvP at 70 and possibly farming elites. For that I think the Feral Druid would be a better option, would it not?

I know most people here take multi-boxing further, but I do not have the desire to replace my current playstyle with multi-boxing, but more using it as a supplement - eg. boosting alts through instances, having extra character slots and so on.

But you already said that your other account was full... why not use it for the power leveling account and make the new account all the alts that will be power leveled....

What I meant was that after making the Rogue the account was filled. I will most likely add a Warrior at some point and quite possibly a few more banking chars, so I need another account for extra character slots.
The reason I would prefer moving one of the 70's is that it would allow me to dual-box two of my 70's at once, which could be pretty nice when farming battlegrounds, for instance. It would also allow me to powerlevel the possible Warrior alt in the future, plus the Paladin and Shaman that I already have.

    Sorry for the confusion.
