A note on the new arena season

The new arena season has been upon us for about 3-4 weeks now and I wanted to let you multi-boxing competitive arena players know that in the first two months of the season, it's the hardest to compete because of the inital 1500 reset. Also if you are going in there with s2 gear, you can begin to compete, anything less than that and it's kinda like banging your head against a wall. Of course there will always be exceptions, but I just wanted to raise your spirits if your having a hard time climbing past 1.5k - 1.6k.

I've been doing consistently 1550-1630 the last few weeks, and I'm still 40% quest blues. This is on Cyclone EU.
Will get brutal legs on wednesday, which means about +70 spell damage, and a completed 4-piece gladiator set bonus - major upgrade.

Also.. people usually say that tuesdays/sundays are easier to play because you will have more appropriate competition at your rating.
This is entirely true. Having played about 200 5v5 games the last month, I'm seeing a very clear pattern:
If you play on odd times, you will very often be matched against just-created teams full of brutal geared folks who are starting from 1500 but are destined for 1700-1900 rating at least.

I have repeatedly been able to confirm this problematic.
It all stems from the badly designed arena system where ratings can be resetted. Instead of having character-associated personal ratings, blizzard created the team rating concept, which messes a lot with everyone but the worst and best players who are at a stable and predictable competition at high or low rating.

From what im experiencing, im facing full vengefull or vengefull/brutal not because their doing new teams or raising the rating, but because no one else is availble to face eachother. Max i took out from a team like that was 20 points. I was like 1600 and they were 1750 ? How can we even met in arenas in the first place ? I've seen pics from ppl winning an arena and receiving no points lol. Could be a bug.

And ur getting the same win rate as i do. Is 50%-50%, just noticing a little improvement as i improve my gear, but..thats it.
Theres no easy-mode, every arena is like a 2300 rating arena fight, no one wana loose, and in 90 arena games i've face 2 times a team with weaker than mine.

I've been quad boxing arenas for only 3 weeks now. First week i got stuck on 1490. Second on 1570. And this one on 1620. I just hope i can get improvements next week :P It's a mix of gear along with arena experience. But every arena is a single experience. I've won arenas with my main shaman down. I've lost arenas after blasting a veng/brutal pala and a warrior down... Dunno bout u, but all i want now is 1700. My main goal from the start is to achieve 1800 for weapons

Yea that's my point broski! Don't worry a couple months into the season and you'll find yourself 1850+ in no time!
