Default Setting up Monitors and Keyboard questions

I'm triple boxing currently. 3x Shamans, 1 machine.

I'll start by posting my computer specs:

    -Intel Core2 Quad 2.4GHz
    -2gb RAM
    -NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb
    -320gb HD 7200rpm
    -Windows XP
    -17" CRT Monitor
    -Keyclone

I have a spare ATI 9500 Video Card(I think thats what it is), and a 80gb 7200rpm HD, I want to set it up so my 2 alt characters run off the 2nd HD.

I'm plannning to buy a 19" or 21" LCD Widescreen monitor in a week as my main characters screen, and use my 2 spare 17" CRT monitors for my alt's. From what I understand, each video card and the motherboard has a monitor slot, so I should be able to run 3 monitors with that setup.

    1) How do I set up 3 monitors with Keyclone, and have each character appear on a seperate monitor.

    2) How do I get Keyclone to run the 2 alt's copies of WoW from the 2nd HD?

    3) Will I be able to set it up so alt-tabbing swaps out my main screen with the desired alt if I need to switch characters?

    4) Will alt tabbing that way mess up the UI as the screens are completely different size?

    5) What additional hardware/software will I need to run that setup?

I was going to buy X-Keys Professional, but decided I would look into other means first. So I'm looking into the possibility of connecting 2 Keyboards to the computer and having keyboard2 with a different name and different setup so they wont override. I was told Quick Macro's was capable of doing so, it would allow me to have all keys on keyboard2 labeled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2F1, 2F2, 2Space, etc etc. which would also be programable in WoW, I could bind a key to 'a' on keyboard1, or '2a' on keyboard2.

    6) Can Quick Macro's really do that, is that keyboard setup even possible?

    7) Is Quick Macro's against WoW's ToU?

Thats a lot of questions, but I needed to know most of these answers before I go to far in setting up how I would want my multiboxing to work.

    Thanks for reading!

Sorry to not be a helper, but where did you buy your PC? If you built it, where did you buy the parts?

And I think you can somehow use 3 vid cards and 3 monitors hooked up to them... as for the hard drive thing, you should set up the second hard drive to be recognized by your PC, then install WoW to it and then run it twice... or install WoW twice on the second hard drive. Now for running 3 WoWs on 3 monitors... I don't know how you do that. That's all I can say...

I get my PCs/laptops custom made from a private computer dealer here in Ontario, Canada. He gets his parts from the US, and since I litterly buy soo much stuff from him every month, it got to the point where he almost sells stuff at-cost to me,

Adding in my other video card was a no-go, the ATI 9500 or whatever, wrong slot type, wont fit in

I put in my other 80gig HD, still had everything from before I got my quad-core. But now I've run into errors when attempting to start WoW or anything that takes more then 100,000 mem, Blue Screen of Death error, gonna take me an hour or 2 to figure out what is causing it. (gonna guess outdated video card drivers on the GeForce 8800gts, the last time I had this happen, reinstalling the whole ASUS Gamer Pro video drivers fixed this)

for the seperate instances of wow, you don't actually have to go through the installer. Just copy your wow folder to the extra hard drive and rename it. mine is setup like this:

    c:/Program Files/World of Warcraft
    p:/World of Warcraft2
    p:/World of Warcraft3
    p:/World of Warcraft4
    p:/World of Warcraft5

If you are running an old install of windows (assuming xp) from the old hardrive, you need to do a repair install on it. Windows installs certain bits for the processor and motherboard (aside from drivers) and you will continue to have problems with windows until you do a repair install. Odd that it happens, but even just swapping a faster cpu can require a repair install. You MIGHT get away with not doing the repair, but it's a really good idea. you won't lose any of your installed software, but you will have to do the M$ registration/authentication again.

As for Keyclone, I have no idea how to set it up for running multiple copies of WOW - I use Octopus (for now) and it does it. Check out the keyclone website for info on running multiple wows on one monitor under the maximizer/pip settings.

    good luck!

    Ok, heres an update!

I fixed all my errors. I got duel-monitors to work. I have made it so Keyclone starts Main copy on Monitor 1, and the 2 alts on monitor2, each taking 1/4 of the screen, also have Keyclone options and Ventrilo, and Windows Media Player all on Monitor2. By mouseing over, the cursor can switch monitors within a microsecond allowing me to controll both monitors.

My NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb vid card can only take PCI, I need another monitor hooked up, so I'll need another video card

Copying over my WoW folder worked, thanks a ton!

All thats left to do is figure out Quick Macros to see if I can hook up multiple keyboards.
