I'm triple boxing currently. 3x Shamans, 1 machine.
I'll start by posting my computer specs:
-Intel Core2 Quad 2.4GHz
-2gb RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb
-320gb HD 7200rpm
-Windows XP
-17" CRT Monitor
-Keyclone
I have a spare ATI 9500 Video Card(I think thats what it is), and a 80gb 7200rpm HD, I want to set it up so my 2 alt characters run off the 2nd HD.
I'm plannning to buy a 19" or 21" LCD Widescreen monitor in a week as my main characters screen, and use my 2 spare 17" CRT monitors for my alt's. From what I understand, each video card and the motherboard has a monitor slot, so I should be able to run 3 monitors with that setup.
1) How do I set up 3 monitors with Keyclone, and have each character appear on a seperate monitor.
2) How do I get Keyclone to run the 2 alt's copies of WoW from the 2nd HD?
3) Will I be able to set it up so alt-tabbing swaps out my main screen with the desired alt if I need to switch characters?
4) Will alt tabbing that way mess up the UI as the screens are completely different size?
5) What additional hardware/software will I need to run that setup?
I was going to buy X-Keys Professional, but decided I would look into other means first. So I'm looking into the possibility of connecting 2 Keyboards to the computer and having keyboard2 with a different name and different setup so they wont override. I was told Quick Macro's was capable of doing so, it would allow me to have all keys on keyboard2 labeled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2F1, 2F2, 2Space, etc etc. which would also be programable in WoW, I could bind a key to 'a' on keyboard1, or '2a' on keyboard2.
6) Can Quick Macro's really do that, is that keyboard setup even possible?
7) Is Quick Macro's against WoW's ToU?
Thats a lot of questions, but I needed to know most of these answers before I go to far in setting up how I would want my multiboxing to work.
Thanks for reading!
