POWERLEVELING QUESTIONS

I always hear about people leveling alts in SM with a lvl 70 doing all the pulling and was thinking of trying this out myself. I was wondering what lvl I should bring the new toon over to SM I would be using a lvl 70 mage to kill. Is there any mods I should dl to make this easier ? Can I leave the alt sitting at the entranace or should I keep him on autofollow ? Once I hit 50 or 60 I wouldnt mind lvling the rest of the way questing what would be the fastest way to lvl up the weapon skills after the powerlevel ?

I searched around the website a bit before I made this post and if I missed this information I am sorry for reposting . I want to say thank you to anyone who can help me with these questions.

There are a lot of posts about this under the category boosting. Make sure you browse the forums, and preform a search before making another thread. This is what I did with my group.. Quest to level 8, RFC until 14/15, SFK until 25, then SM Cath until 42 (oh god..). Now I'm doing ZF.

If you bring them on autofollow they are bound to die. It's best to leave them (park them) at key locations where they will still get exp.

Let me find a good post, albeit the english is not great but it's still a good guide.

ahh boosting I was not sure what the proper name was. Thx for the reply. How long do you think this would take to hit lvl 50 ?

It´s been a while but I dual-boxed with my mage main and had an alt warrior I was levelling on the other account. At 13 in Deadmines, his aggro range was obscene, wouldn´t do that again but didn´t get higher before I left the UK so can´t give you the optimum range.

If they´re very low level (as in, near the minimum entry level) don´t put them on auto-follow, they´ll grab aggro before you even spot the mobs. You can park them, clear up to the boss, kill the boss and then bring the alts forward to the next section.

To level weapon skills there are some invincible mobs. Can´t remember where, Google: level weapons invincible mobs.

Lastly, there´s tonnes of information on this site detailing most of your questions. Best way to start is to have a mooch around these threads and have a proper search - apart from the info you need you´ll pick up loads of other little tidbits you´ll never know you would need until you read it. If that makes sense!

Mage boostign madness. (Epic Flyers: 5/4)

pretty good layout for mage boosting... try and wade through the spelling

I'm 42 right now, and my /played is approximately 1 day 4 hours, of just pure boosting (i restarted 3 to ensure the accounts were in my name). On my old ones, I PVPed an entire day and their /played is 2 days 8 hours.

I've done boosting several times lvling 3 chars from 20-45 this way pretty quickly using a mage as the booster.. I made this a while back to show how I did it

(I'd recommend bringing chars into sm 25 at the earliest.. I did 20 because I despise other instances for it :P)

Thanks very much for all of the information :thumbup: I am going to try to read as much as I can and decide if im going to go for it. I wanted to level up a new alt but really did not want to go all throught the early questing and this may be the answer I was looking for. I can level up a new char and get his factins and tradskills up before the wrath hits stores.
