I have been working on one for a week or so now, but I barely get any time to do any editing, with work etc taking up so much time.
I've always been under the impression that if we could show ppl the very basics.. all up to the point were they log on and fire off their first targeted spell, then the rest would fall into place..
things it should include as a minimum (imo):
tell them this isn't going to be easy.
ask which method they wish to use (hardware or software)
make sure they understand the accounts all need to be in the same name (although this means Vyn won't get to post her policy stuff as much :S )
Assuming most of the ppl in need of this guide are likely to be software boxers (i imagine hardware the fewer hardware boxers wil generally have spent a lot more time researching), a brief introduction to Keyclone or any other viable software.
introduction into basic necessary macros.. so for instance if we are talking the assistfocus system, then an introduction to the follow macros and how to set up the attack macros for any generic spell.
recommended addons (questhelper - anything else that may help)
what to expect as reactions from singleboxers..
Basically a overview into boxing, and whilst despite this all being in the wiki, nothing can show an inexperienced player better then a video.
I've already sort of got the voiceover done, but I need to collect video footage of every setup step :P which is a pain :P especially because I want to make sure that nothing can be misinterpreted or them accidentally missing a step :S
anyways can anyone else think of something that has to go into a guide?
