Default Lets talk about our healer mate in 5v5.

I wanna know.. How much do you guys think we can expect from our healers in 5v5.. Is it reasonabol that 1 healer lets say with bubbl can keep the focused target up if 3 dpsers are on him ?
My healer worked fine as i was gearing up.. but now my toons are on 370resilions, main on 445, all on 10k hp+, 750+ spell dps.. 30crit... And we have gotten up on 1500ish, but i cant seem to get future.. i know my gearing is good enough for it now.. But i'm not sure about my pally healers skilles atm... Its nothging wrong with his gear.. but he might be a bit slow on reacting and keeping the spam healing up as priority.

Tell me alittle bit about how your healers do things, How much you know he is able to do, and where you need to suport him...

Supporting my healer i think its my biggest failure.

I tend not to even consider helping him out until i have downed one person, sometimes this doesnt happen for a while and i tend to forget him. he plays a shaman and a good one, tops the charts on raids and now does well healing me in pvp. I've done over 100 games now, we are both getting a feel for the style of play and imo it can only get better. I'd like to think that in a few more hundred games these 1650+ rating teams that LoS me and/or simply rate me will start to drop easier. So my new found task in future games from this week on is to pay a little more attention to the guy whos winning me all these games.

So far we have peaked at a 1603 rating, i really want to see that peak as an average next week.

I DEMAND some qualities from all my healers.

    1. They must be able to communicate. If they are silenced/kicked, going OOM, out of LoS, taking damage, or notice they're heals are enough I must know this right immediately. This of course occurs after I can trust them to solo heal through the majority of 3 dps teams out there. 2. Ability to stop and watch for Rezzers. The majority of my losses now come from taking a 4 dps team down only to have them rez one or destroy me in the process of interrupting. Taking me away from my totems and putting me in LoS hell and eventually I go OOM and they win.

Thats it. I don't think I'm asking for a lot but in the heat of the battle these qualities take training and practice.

I believe much of my success is coming from playing with different healers. Learning how to communicate with different people allows me to refine my strategy and execution. It also gives me an inside on what another healer is or isn't doing. Another thing is at this point in the season I dont care about rating. My approach is learn to beat everyone then get 2.2k. It only takes one team to take your rating from 2.2k back down to 1500.

Last night i tryed a deep resto drood, basicly he was full resto with only 11 in feral for charge. Hes really skilled and he got the idea of basicly spaming and not interupting much in the start. It all whent so much better then the pally i use atm. I even noticed that he figured out a few tricks by him self even in the frist games. Like.. directly poping out of cat to root Inc warriors.. so i basicly nuke them down before they charge in on me. We will play more today and see how it goes vs all the noob teams on the day time. Last night we ended on 14-7 with him.
I guess my intentions was right that with a new more skilled healer i can start passing 1500 and raising again

All healers have different tricks that can help u beat that specific setup u have problems with. Its a matter of synergy as well. Me and my friend, a DPriest, we have encountered some problems but managed to climb every week. I hope it continues for a long time.
I think u gotta have an idea of what and how much dmg he can handle, if it gives u a change to try to kill one first before help him or not... i guess it comes down to a lot of practice togheter, wich i dont have that much of willing to, due to the fact we face heavy geared teams all the time.

I use two different healers, and usually play with both each week (they are both in the same team). A druid and a pally

They both have different qualities and drawbacks.

When looking back statistically I've won more with the pally than with the druid.

But lately my druid healer tried something different that worked out quite well. From early on he was deep resto and 11 feral for charge. But recently he respecced resto/balance(moonkin). This seemed to work supprisingly well.

We often start the fight with him standing in moonkin form over my shammys. Making both targeting harder and it a bit harder to see for enemies what is really going on. Seems many of the teams believes that the moonkin also is controlled by me, and often focuses him first. If they do, that is usually a big mistake. As long as he is in moonkin I have no problem nuking enemies at the same time as I heal him. This also gives me 5% extra crit from moonkin aura wich is quite nice.

If they start to nuke one of my shamans, he still heals very good, and tranquility also often saves the day against aoe. This means I have to play a bit more defensive, but a moonkin in restogear also gives out a punch so its quite nice for all those "allmost kill" moments, making them a certain kill instead with the help of my healer/Dps hybrid.

Anyway the big advandage of the moonkin is that he can enter moonkin again if he get focused instead of bear form. This gives me both more dps and better healing due to the crit aura.

i cant wait to try out arena with my shamans but i doubt i can get seriouse before WOTLK because of the gear i will need

You moonkin idea sounded superb and even the new Druid talents gave me an idea..

speccing to typhoon (aoe knock back 5 yards)

Not sure how it works thought.. http://thottbot.com/wotlk/ta1923

This means that i still can go for the NS+CL and wont have to spec that new 41 elemental talent.

U gotta wait until u see how Thunderstorm really works, in case u havent experienced it. The way i hope it will be, is a tool to get ur targets on air ready to be killed by u.
If u cant shoot ppl in mid air, what can they do about it? U wont have an instant attack, but maybe u'll have time to start a series of LB+LB+CL ? lol gotta test it first. These aoe knockback talents also tell me that, maybe melees will be a pain in the ass, specially the rogue.
