Multiboxing and AE fear

Hi everybody!

While being able to kill a few of the tank-and-spank bosses (group: war, priest, lock, 2mage) I get slaughtered by any boss that ae fears (namely first boss SL). The problem is that I simply cant do all at the same time: tank, nuke, heal and reposition chars on my other machines.

Does anyone have any ideas how to handle those fights?

I had the idea to try and find spots where my toons are stuck so they can't move and after the fear I simply use my /follow to make them face the boss but that doesn't seem to work.

The good news is that all my toons are undead so I can live through the first wave, the bad news is that I didn't roll alliance so I could rebuff fear ward.

I have tried to find a useful addon with fear timers for normal BC instances (the addons I know all have help for raid encounters but none for 5 man stuff). Does anyone know about such an addon?

Is it true that shadow resist helps against fears? Whould it be possible to stack shadow resist on my toons to have less fears?

pvp trinket might help. Can you hide behind something/stay outside the range of the fear?

yes fear is usually shadow spell. Only ones like intimidating shout arent shadow

talking about first boss in SL, he has some fear range so you basically need to stay out of fear range

i keep the warr sep from the rest of my grp with the priest being my secondary /follow target.... he fears I let fear run its course pick him back up with tank and hit secondary /follow to reposition the rest of the grp (rarely goes out of range for that to work)

no.

Best option is definitely the pvp trinket.

For your setup, wait till he walks back into the tunnel / cave in the back.

Stance dance with the warrior so you miss the fear and maintain aggro, /follow on the rest back to the secondary main, they shouldn't get spread out that far inside the tunnel.

The closest you'll get to "face" is to position your main at the mob, hit your "follow" macro, then immediately hit something like "step backwards" to break the follow.

well, in the next patch every priest will have fear-ward
