Default New to Boxing - Some Display/Monitor questions

    Hello all,

New to MBoxing but so far I've read a lot of good tihngs. I'm still in the 'collect info' stage of the process but am excited about it.

At this point I'm wanting to go with a single PC system running multiple copies of - you guessed it - wow. My system should be able to handle 3-5 but I was considering starting with 3 just to test it out. I'm running into a coupel questions I'm having trouble answering so I was hoping you guys might be able the shed some light. I'll be using Keyclone.

    1) I Currently have 2 22" Viewsonic WIdescreen Monitors, but they don't appear to have a display rotate setting to allow me to have a vertical (rotate 90 degrees) display so I'm considering replacing. Do any of you have a recommendation for a 20-24" widescreen monitor (would like 2) that will do this configuration?
    2) WIth one machine and 1 video card (Nvideo Geforce 8800 GT) I dont' have room in my case really for a 2nd card. But I would like 3 monitors. 2 widescreens (vertical) with a 19" LCD (4:3 ratio) in the middle would be ideal. I'm looking for suggestions to get a 3rd monitor setup (is this just a mix of a KVM for video) on my machine. My vid card has DVI connections x2 only. No VGA.

Oh and I have a macro question (not sure if this is the right spot) in regards to wow.

    1) What's the difference between FOCUS and MOUSEOVER? I thought mouseover *was* focus? Sorry if this is noobish but the info on the wiki just made me scratch my head instead of seeming to answer this. If not clicking (selecting a different target) is mouseover, I'm not sure if I understand what *action* is considered 'focus'.

I'm sure I'll have other questions but I'll start with this.

Thanks so much guys! Looking forward to becoming a useful contributor (eventually) to the boxing community!

Just something that works for most people, not sure what drivers are doing this. But on my home pc's and my laptop I can rotate my screen in my configuration of videodrivers.

Try pressing CTRL + ALT + arrow key (down, up, left or right) : ) Hope it works for you : )

focus is a hidden target you can set by using the command /focus, after that you can use it in a macro to target the focus you have set.

macro 1: (use when targetting something)
    /focus

macro 2: (use to nuke focus)
    /target focus
    /cast spell

Mouseover is something that uses your mousepointer in WoW to target, so if you move your mouse over unitframes (player frame, target frame, party frames or ingame models (npc's) and such).

An easy test would be to make a macro
    /wave [target=mouseover]

bind this macro to a key (put it on your actionbar that you can access by pressing a key on your keyboard)
move your mouse over someone on your screen or one of your partyframes and press the keybinding you associated with the mouseover macro.

After trying the above you should understand what the difference is between focus and mouseover.

    Goodluck!

this normally only works with intel onboard chipsets not Nvidia drivers.

as for monitors - you just have to look for ones that rotate - I found HP 22" w2207h that rotates (uses HDMi and VGA though - had to use a DVI to HDMI convertor) - screen rotation is controlled through the Nvidia control panel

so long as you get a monitor with a standard mounting bracket you can always just do what I did... and just pick up a rotating stand like this:

    And yeah, Nvidia FTW
