I am curious what kind of specs your notebook has!

I think for a mobile solution, the easiest way is to carry a small switch that allows you to connect both machines to the same internet connection. Then you can use any of the multi-computer software solutions here to pass commands between machines.

Well if you dont want to spend alot of cash on switches and etc you could always just get Keyclone! Click the little Keyclone button at the top it costs 19.99 per install and you will need 1 for each machine...

I use it on 2 machines and i think its the easiest by far to set up. But again there are numerous solutions.

i do 2 laptops myself. Use a KVM switch with a PS/2 keyboard. that will take care of your problem easily. The PS/2 cables for the KVM switch will have PS/2 on both ends. use a USB to PS/2 adapter on one end to plug into your laptops. The keyboard needs to be full PS/2 keyboard with the PS/2 plug on that end to connect to the KVM switch. VETRA is who i use with no problems whatsoever. VETRA MP844 MegaCast.

The adapters for your PS/2 cables (USB) are not the kind that have 2 ends on them. One end will be PS/2 and the other USB. You can find them in Computer/electronic stores who cater to geeks who know what to buy.

Anyways, thats how I do my 2 laptops. With a 4 port KVM switch you can hook up to 4 laptops. VETRA sells an 8 port if you wanted to more than 4. I would do at least 3 maybe 4 if you can spare the change. This will reduce your lag in major cities.

    good luck.

thanks for the help and advice guys,

does anyone know of another company that makes USB Keyboard Multipliers?

the vetra ones seem kinda bulky for what i want and also require a AC power supply?

and also does anyone know if one wireless keyboard will send signals to two recievers? (this really seems the tidyest lightest most portable method to me if it works)
