depending on how they allow you to join the mount it could make getting around alot easier. im also hoping for a 3 person flying mount , but that remains to be seen.

Nice for boosting, but for normal boxing all your characters are the same level anyway .

but there wouldn't be any following lag / discrepancy between screens because your all on the same mount.

Real question is how will those work. Will the rear seats have side/rear only firing arcs? Can you LOS them by getting on the other side of teh mounts? How hard will it be to knock people off teh mounts? How big is the hitbox if not?
