After running several of the Hardmodes(Ifrit and Garuda), I've come to see that Dragoons will definitely be the OP damage class, however they require to be up close and require to 2 skill chains (which is easily be macro'd), however a lot of the last several dungeon's bosses do some sort of aoe knock back combo where they aoe knock back, and aoe your ranged people and require you to reposition of your melee and your ranged, which may or may not be an issue to some.

I personally will be running Paladin/Warrior, Black Mage, Bard, and White Mage/Scholar.

Both Paladin and Warrior play specific roles in the end-game based of damage type being received. Warrior is a large HP/Decent DPS Output, while paladin has a lower hp pool but has damage mitigation.

Both WHM and Scholar have specialized healing roles in the end-game. Scholars have great group buffs not to mention the healing faerie helps out a ton because you don't always have to focus heal all the time as your faerie will help you out. White Mage (being my main class) is still the all around large heals healer.

Black Mage because its pure dps a ranged, more so then summoner. Summoner may be something to look at but i dont see many summoners in the hardmodes right now so i cant gauge their capabilities yet.

Bard all around is amazing ranged dps not to mention has the ability to mana song at reduced damage for a period up to the max amount of mana they have. This has saved me many times in the hardmodes because it allowed me to generate mana much faster.

Also a note for those who havnt not finished the main story line. You are required to 8 man several parts of the last pieces of the storyline this may or may not be problematic for multi-boxers if you do it with friends or do it solo. There are several fights where you must tank the boss, kite kill the adds with dps, while maintaining heals on the kiters and tank. May be a lot of work for a 4 boxer or 8 boxer. Its not impossible, but would definitely take some setup.

Original was listing what i'm seeing as the most favorable classes i see in Hard modes right now. The classes list above, was in the context of what i will be running. I will probably level all ranged classes on my 4 box team to 30-35 area, before i focus them in on the Tank+2DD+1Healer setup.

My 4 box is at level 35 right now, my main is 50 in 3 Classes/Jobs, 50 White Mage , 50 Scholar/50 Summoner, 15 Thaum. Well technically its really only really its only 2 technically 50 CNJ and 50 ACN, what so good about this setup is i really only had to level 2 classes 2 50, and 1 to 15 to get access to 3 50 jobs, but the real problem with this is the stat points are setup for healing so my summoner's damage is lower a bit lower then what it could if spec for damage. I Primarily targeted healing classes on my main, because WHM and Scholar play different roles in the end-game portion of the game. Scholar is very fun to heal with and buff with, while the WHM is my "Paladin(WoW)" (Big Heals) healer.

If i wasn't raiding and primarily running single mode with my FC, you could easily be 50 with a 4 box team by now. I was level 10 with my 5 box arcanist without even starting any of the basic quests in Limosa, i was just grinding outside of the city for an hour or so. The XP Bonus is really nice especially with 3% food, 20% Helm (Only last til 10), + 5% Free Company bonus. Also with the news that they will be nerfing Fates (re: Yoshi interview at Pax), as they were not ment to be farmed like they are now, and more experience parties will start to pop back up like from the XI and v1.0 FFXIV days (which is not bad thing for multiboxers). Currently as it sits Fates are the fastest way to xp, if your PC can handle the lag of all the people at fates, then it should go fairly quickly. Fates took me from 40 to 50 in a matter of 8 hours or so, with 49-50 taking 30 minutes in Northern Thanalan. Fate Parts from about 35 on to 50 right now would be Costa Del Sol, to Central Coerthas, to Mor Dhona, then to Northern Thanalan.
