Yes, that is exactly what I do. I have done about 12 hours of grinding and don't have that much to show for it.
Finally got a Chelley's Sterilized Scalpel! Spell power weapons exist!
yeah us cool Kil'Jaeden mages were farming since the patch went live, with Void being our sugar daddy now for life...
the pulls are easy, and the only thing you need to worry about is the lava giant or whatever.. he hits hard.
you can invis past him, though and pull the humanoids, but it's risky if he pats down while you are fighting / looting.
just blow all your cooldowns and he will die![]()
Hate to say it but doing this ruins multiboxing for the rest of us. Blizzard nerfed the trash mob drops rates because of this. Not to mention they might even ban multiboxing in the future because of things like this.![]()
Using invis exploit to reset the trash is what is wrong. Farming the trash properly is fine, so yes, I AM basing this on the fact exploits were used! It's the same if 10 hunters or 10 rogues went in... resetting trash like that is not how the game is intended to be played, and they will deem it an exploit.
I don't mind people multiboxing, but play within the rules.
12 recipes, 3 weapons and 1 ring after 5 hours semi-afk farming.. and you saying the trash drops are nerfed?
Also I wouldn't call trash reseting as exploiting. If you do not reset them, you would be killing other mobs anyway so there really is no remarkable benefit on it. It's just a lazy way to farm some.
Only real benefit is, you don't have to run out once in a while and reset the dungeon. Though with mounts and invite-macros that takes what like 20 seconds more to regroup outside and jump back in..
Using a spell in game as it is intended to be used is not an exploit. Raids aren't "intended" to be someplace people go to farm trash, they are created with the intent that people go in to kill bosses. Yet people have been trash farming raids since MC. People can just as easily reset trash by leaving one up and exiting the instance, just like they did when farming bug mounts, rep and rep items in AQ. If Invis was an "exploit" in this instance, they wouldn't have nerfed the drop rates, they would have added detect Invis to the mobs. If de-agro resets were exploits, they would have changed it so that the groups only respawn on an instance reset.
The change in drop rates were because the drop rates were too high, not because of reset mechanics and certainly not because of multiboxing. Bosses are where you're supposed to expect epics, not trash mobs. It's as simple as that.
