When I get to that point of my toons beeing not high enough level I just doin a random dungeon or 2 to catch them up. I have an advantage of using my 80 warrior though.

I'm not following any guides written up by anyone, I'm just now work back and forth on my teams running around questing to level up, then hitting instances at level when need be. I'm only taking on the kill quests now and skipping collection quests to minimize the headache of leveling and grinding. Unless you really want to, go for any and all quests you can get your hands on that you'll gain xp off killing mobs. I ran all of the kill quests in Zangarmarsh last night with no collection quests on my Disc Priest leading 3 BM hunters and finished out the zone in just a couple hours, I got distracted a few times. I also had flying, so that made it faster for me. I went from 61-63 1/2 just from killing the right amount. Also finished up the ones in outside Shat and logged out before turning them in, I'll probly cap 64 from them alone, then gonna head to Nagrand then Blade's Edge.

Helpful tip if you plan on questing up in Icecrown on any of your teams. Turn on the notification in Jamba to let you know when your slaves fall off /follow, and have a separate key bound to have them move forward. No matter what quest or phase you're in with your team while goin thru IC, it is a pain in the ass, so to reduce stress and hairpulling (not the kinky kind either), I'd avoid IC for questing unless you really want to. I'm leveling without RAF and Heirlooms at the moment, but I won't quest there anymore on my new teams. Awesome questlines there, but a major PITA to repeat them. Again, to make questing go faster, just take on the kill quests, then grind out an instance or two for both gear and get to the next level range for the next zone if you're not yet high enough. Think of it this way, if it gets to be boring or frustrating, then change your approach to leveling up. I honestly don't know or go by any guides to get from 1-80 as soon as possible. Once I can get me some heirlooms, I'll just use my Pally team to boost my alts parked up at 1-20 thru the instances. Most of them are a pain to level up, and just want to use in end-game or BGs, so I'll just boost them that way.

If boosting get to be a bore for you, then you can always hire out anyone that's lvl 80 to run you thru some instance so all you have to do is loot. Providing you have the room in your party. Rested xp only applies to xp off kills, not quest turn-ins, so running out won't be bad unless you're grinding instances. That's when you want to park that team up to rest up and work on another in the mean time. 1-100% rested can be earned in about 10 days, providing they're parked up in an inn or city when logged out. Once my Pally team hit 70, I parked them up to rest up to 100%, I never ran out while questing from 70-80. I also never hit up the Northrend instances till they hit 73 and 80 either, regretting that now cause they're half ass geared. My preference, I wanted to do the quests atleast once for the lore.

If you do grind outside of instances, I'd highly suggest getting Skinning an either your main (+crit bonus will help with aggro) or a slave for dps and grind on the mobs in Borean Tundra. The leather sells well on the AH and the Arctic Furs are always a good sale. Or stock up for an alt LW, that's what I did.

I diden't use any guides either. I used to go with Johanas or whatever the guide is called, but on my druid team I have just quested and run about as I saw fit.

Hit northrend at level 68, did alot of kill quests and only a couple of collection quests. Got stuck on lvl 75 due to being tired of questing. I then did some instances with my team, but it took to long. Wanting to improve my tank I did some PUGs and he is now sitting at 78,5

I have also done some pugs with the healer and one of the dps.

Im considering doing more PUGS with the tank to get him to 80, then gear him a bit, and then return to my team and get the rest to 80 by doing instances. I think im done with Quests on this team. I got the achievement 1000 Quests at around lvl 74, so yes, I have done quite a few quests with these guys.

im just sick of quests... even kill quests...
    Q: Kill this dude.
How I do the quest: Run directly to the mob I must kill, kill it and nuke all mobs I have pulled aggro on the way.... Then next quest.
Elites etc. it dosen't matter. With a tank (in dps mode) and 3 boomkins I kill everything in standard content.

Often I just activate Starfall and run through the camps of mobs... they fall like flies.

    Everytime I see a collectionquest /spit.

Two Heirlooms add 20% on kill and quest exp, its a big deal. 2 free levels going from 70 - 80.

I am currently working my third team to 80 (currently just short of 78). I use the Zygorguide for all of my teams I love the guide for pointing you right where to go and how to do the quest, with on screen instruction. No switching around just follow the arrow. But, the guide skips the group quests be sure to look around for quests if they are group quests run them. The Group quests together with the heirlooms and you will out pace the quide pretty quickly. I skip most collections now.

Also for some reason the Guild does not have you do the dailies after you unlock them even though they are good for exp the first run. I add the first run of the dailies they are mostly easy I have done them so many times now from my mains they go very fast.

Tip: when you ding 77 start Storm Peaks. Following the guide while adding group quests and each daily once for exp while going through Storm peaks and Ice Crown you will have unlocked all the dailes and cleared all the Phasing stuff, just about the time you ding 80. On my last team I started at 78 and had way too many quest to run after I dinged 80, the cash was nice but I would have rather skipped more quests.

Don't forget to pass the Cold weather flying book from your mains to the alts. So you can start flying from the get go.

Thanks all for your input. I bit the bullet last night and went back to Nagrand (like the ambience there ) , took about an hour or so to ding 70 doing the kill quests and also killed Durn for kicks. Now the 3 lowbies are at 20% into 70 and so should be fine to continue NR questing.
In most cases I like to just push through the quest grind and hit 80 asap, if I do a dungeon here and there I want it to be as painless as possible, if I do it a few levels up from the requirement I am thinking it should be similar to doing the heroics in some epic gear, but not tested that theory yet :P
I have cold weather flying on all my team and also have the BoA trinket on the shammies to help a little with spell power.
Again, thanks all for the input

That's why I like to stay in Outland until 70. That way I can hit Northrend with Epic Cold Weather Flying instead of having to go back to Outland at 70 to train Artisan Riding.

well i suggest you do the northrend quests at least to unlock the dailies. wowwiki has a good overview i recall. I basically copy/pasted that into a spreadsheet, spent a hour looking up what kind of quest it was and that way i was able to unlock my dailies and still profit from the xp (a big waste if u have to do those quests later anyway without xp). Though i feel ur pain

Good point, ill have to look into that.

And I can second that it sucks not being able to fly in Northrend.... I don't have any main I can get cold weather flying from.... so it takes even longer when I have to run all over the place on my trusty old mount.

The part that sucks about not having cold weather flying is having to navigate mobs. When you can fly it is simply pop from one location to the next. Makes life so much easier
What I have decided to do with the team to get them all in sync level wise is to do the collection quests on the lower toons until I have everyone matched up. I did this last night and it is starting to close the xp difference between the highest level toon and the lowest, which is about 40% of a level at present.
