I've been looking arround to find a good (and cheap) 3-box gfx card.
I just wanna be able to run at 20 fps each, right now, I can barely push it to 10 (which sometimes fucks me up in arena)
Any ideas?

What is your price range?
8800 gt still best bang for buck.
Just the normal gt? It dosent have to be the gts or gtx?Quote:

Depends on your budget, but the ATI Radeon HD 4870X2 is due to come out some time in august. Its what im waiting for, hopefully it comes out soon ;)
Pushing 30-45 fps with my 8800gt running 5 clients. I had the 8800gts previously, but never got the chance to test it like this one.
Ty very much for the info! Exactly what I needed.. :) I dont really care about cost or anything, I just wanna run my 3 clones at 30 fps or something instead of 10 :PQuote:

My budget is pretty much with no limit, but hey! I might aswell save some cash where its posible.
I found that my cpu and ram were a bigger problem when running 5 clients. I lag every once in a while in big cities when approaching large crowded areas. It's still not enough to knock my clones off follow.
I went from core 2 duo e6850 to a core 2 quad q9450 and have been in love with my pc since.
Bet yeh dollar to donuts yer graphics card isnt lagging yeh.
What I need is some more ram and a new gfx card.
I've been working with computers (repairing, assembling and what not) for a long time - And know that this is the issue since the machine is only running 3 clients. (not 4 or 5)
Thank you everyone for helping out - Now I just need to get some cash together.
I'm still running five wow's on a single 8800GT with two monitors, each at 1920x1200 with no slow down at all on my main wow. The other four wow's are throttled to 10fps.
If money is your biggest concern you cant do better for bang to buck than the 8800GT standard edition. However the HD4870 is wowing alot of people like the 8800GT did when it was released so I may be changing when the 4870x2 becomes more widely available.
Do you still lag with the core2quad or was that with the duo? Did you notice a big FPS boost when moving to quad? I've got 5 clients on 3 monitors running off a core2duo E6400 and 8800GT, I get 20-30fps when all 5 running on my main window which isn't bad, but I'd like to boost it up some more and wondering if upgrading the processor or the video card would get me the most bang for my buck.Quote:
