1 frost and 4 unholy? What combo looks good to you? Think a healer will be mandatory? I'm really liking the unholy tree. Blood doesn't seem viable for boxing, but 5 frost may be.

Depending on the difficulty of instances, I may swap out a shaman for a DK tank at 80.
But heroics are going to be easier than they are now so it may be unnecessary.
I was thinking about quinting DKs but melee boxing hurts my brain. 8|

Frost(the tanking tree) Deathknights with 4 Frost Mages will be ridiculously fun. (shatter)
The Unholy aura gives quite a movement speed bonus that stacks with other movement speed increasing effects. If it stacks with itself, it will be sick to quin-box deathknights.

And I'm a dumb-nut. I just remembered that the DK auras are self-only. But still, the Unholy gameplay videos have some sick AoE spells that would just rock to five box.Quote:

Since I am 2boxing my DK with a Priest, I will probably go Unholy for the extra DoTs. I will probably stack DoTs on mobs from hits and move onto the next and let the first rot away. Blood looks neat as well but I like the passiveness of Unholy, 25% shadow dmg per swing, chance to further disease a target, and increased damage to diseased targets, not to mention the debuff that will drop their stats and also increase their magic vulnerability thus increasing the disease damage further. This is for PvE of course, no one will be dispelling the mobs. I am hoping the Ferocious Dead change from 3 points to 1 is a mistake. One of the problems with having a faster mount is that I will leave my priest behind when I ride! ;(
The issue is will deathknight be good tank? ^_^
I am currently playing tankadin+resto shaman+3 warlocks combo. If I switch out the shaman and turn the paladin into healadin and train the DK to be my tank. Will it be viable? Do deathknight generate enough threats in WotLK?
Due to (1) change of mechanics of Blessing of spells and (2) smaller group of mobs in instances, it may not as advantageous as present to use Paladin. Any thoughts?
That is a good point, but it looks like more mobs in groups of 3 which pretty much any tank can handle, but there will probably be more groups. What you could probably do is if you keep your pally you can do 2 groups instead of one. The bad part is that i am lvling 2 locks (3rd is already 70) to use seeds in instances, but if there are only going to be like 3 mobs in a pack then seed lost some of its use and 3 shams are starting to look better.Quote:

He/she also has the other two trees. IMHO Deathknights would be awful to have more than one of, control issues much.
If I get more than one key i'll have to try dual boxing and let you know how it goes. (big IF :P)
Honestly, I think it will be fine once we work out ways to handle the AoE that w lost with the Minimap Ping nerf. Also, I would think Blizzard would like to stick it to the AMB crowd so at least one of us is getting in on all our accounts. I really think so. Why? It's odd :) they do seems rly OP when you look at how most classes play at lvl 70.. but take a look at some of the new talents and spells some other classes are getting :) some are pretty OP too :)
personally I am soo looking forward to trying out my new raid spec Ehn Sham
what makes this even more droolworthy is that they announced they are combining spel and melee/ranged hit ratingand also the same for crit rating. So as a melee shaman, spells will now pack an added punch :) plus these funky new dps talents should work wonders against high AC or high magic resist talents as this will be one of the few classes that can accommodate for both scenarios :)
