Has anyone found a party interface addon that allows you to order the group members in an order that YOU specify?
I've tried Pitbull, Bartender, ag_Unitframes and xperl, none have this option. :<

party order is based on character creation date pretty sure thats hard coded and no gui can change it - if you have already started your team might want to just change your partymacros accordingly >.<
I would want this too, but I dont think it is possible.Quote:

Closest thing I have managed is to sort the UI alphabetically with Pitbull, then use names for my macros instead of party1,party2 etc
My biggest reason for sorting is to know where my professions are (skinner, miner, enchanter, etc), so when I get stuff out of a chest or a drop I know who to give it to. I never use names in macros, so that isn't a problem for me. What is the reason you want to sort the groups?
My girls are always in the same position in the group. Regardless of what order they are invited they retain the same group position. I too was looking for a similar unitframe mod that allowed me to freeform arrange the unit frames but gave up many many moons ago.
It is actually possible but you need to use the default blizzard party frame and then use an addon, i believe its call moveanything, there are a few around. but the blizz one sucks so im still stuck :)
the main reason i want it, is because all my interfaces / macros are near identical appart from the name references in macros, i want the party members identical too :>
I could have sworn that Pitbull had a "sort alphabetically" feature. I'll see if I can find it when I get home.
pitbull does have the "sort alphabetically" feature, i use it on my main, i leave it be on the slaves
Yes it does, but it fails when ordering the 1st character.
e.g.
My shaman are called Woopxie, Xoopxie, Yoopxie, Zoopxie
On my first window i have them in that order, which is fine. But when i look at Window 2, Xoopxie's game window, the party order begins with Xoopxie, then Woopxie, Yoopxie, Zoopxie
THAT is what im trying to sort out, i want to see Woopxie, Xoopxie, Yoopxie, Zoopxie on every window.
Can I ask why you want to do this? I am working on something that maybe related.
I am trying to arrange things that selected keys will always effect the character in a partyFrame Slot on my leaders UI
eg
F1 any of my tean Heals the first Slot I see on my leader UI
F2 any of my team heals the second slot on my leader UI
F3 any of my team heals the third slot on my leader' UI
and so on..
and obviously allow the setting of the leader dynamically..
Is this any good?
It will not 'hardcode' the action (ie Heal above) and will not be HotkeyNet specific. and will not be key specific
I use RDX for my unit frames, it allows any order you want, alpha, reverse, class, class/alpha, specific class, etc etc etc... if you can dream it, it can sort it.
You can even simply arbitrarily order the group by using a nominative set... the learning curve on RDX is not small so be ready to tackle something that isn't easy if you try it out. On that same note, you can use RDX to replace nearly every element of your UI, thus eliminating dependency on many small UI mods that break patch after patch.
I've had a little look into RDX but i think its a little over the top for my head to handle :D
As for addons breaking on patches, well its not long before they get fixed so thats not a worry really.
Unfortunately i cba with learning RDX so i'll just have to live with what i have :D
This is how I have my UI setup, no matter who is in my party, my 4x5 block of keys on the x-keys willa lways heal them in the order they appear on my main characters RDX screen. Thats 4 different healing spells on 5 different targets, the only thing is if the group changes, I have to hit a button to refresh and this can't happen during combat (which is fine, since 99% of things can't change UI settings during combat). I accomplished this with RDX but I'm sure it can be done with any unit frame out there.Quote:

How do you handle this? player,party1,party2,party3,party4 will allways be different on each account? Is there any way for this mod to make theese static?Quote:
