What sort of reactions do you usually get on first impression from other players when they see you?
75% of the time, I get "LOL!". 20% of the time is 'WTF', and the other 5% are random things, including 'reported' and comments about botting.
What about you guys?
I'd have to say it's 40% "LOL", 40% "WTF", 8% "Lol they all look alike, how'd you do that?", 1 % people interested, and 1% people bad mouthing.

Had some days where it's all good and some where it's all bad... you never know what sort of day you're going to have.

had one person say "5 shamans? How original! NOT!" to which I could only bring myself to reply.. "Shiet, thanks for telling me. I'm off to make some new characters in that case.."
I just don't get how they think originality fits into this.. There were pioneers, and now most of us are disciples. It's done for fun, noting more.
although when ppl ask me why does everyone use 4/5 shammies I normally reply "you mean besides them being the coolest class in WoW? :P" and then go into explaining the mechanics etc and how they really rule for boxing :)
so far I have to say my experiences have been 99% positive and ppl really interested in boxing. of course that changes when you go anywhere near a BG :S
I did a test with two draenei shamans to see how it all worked.
I had someone come up and rp with me.... did that for a while. Then I ran off... My alt character got whispered by this person asking why I was following my other character. Told her I was the same person and she thought it was cool.
I'm going to be multiboxing 3 existing 70's shortly - hunter, shaman and lock. It will be interesting to see if i am picked up as being a multiboxer. No synchronised totem dropping for me on these.
I will of course start levelling my 3 identical shamans and compare the reactions.
Thing is on the server I'm on you see such idiocy and lack of respect for others in Trade chat, general chat and battleground chat that I've long since learnt to ignore it. The morons are always the most vocal, and if you didn't think about the silent majority of people that are decent you might just want to give up on humanity :)
I won't deign to answer the stupid ones - However 3-5 /fart will get the message over I think.
I recall my first Warsong Gulch around level 17 (was alliance then, moved to Smolderthorn/Horde now). Some guy kept yelling for the shamans to spread out and heal people, which I told him I couldnt because i was controlling them all (others piped up and said the same thing). Near the end (of course we lost, alliance sucks :O) he goes "i hope that guy realizes what a stupid idea it was to do that in here". The end screen pops up and guess who has the most kills? XD

On US-Mag I have yet to receive a negative comment, surely because The Zerg already has a widespread good reputation. Meanwhile when I originally rolled my group on Lothar I was slammed every day. Its been a refreshing change. I give all the credit to the the "Zergers" who have come before me.

I can only suppose that people react faster/more when it's more than just 2
I only dual box -- I'm doing it only to level alts before the
expansion, and while my 70 priest was with my 50 priest -- all I got
was "cool names" because one is named "Divine" and the other "Devout"

things.
Guess seeing more than 2 at once is the kicker. Or same classes.

So far after a few weeks of 2x duoboxing on Thunderhorn we haven't received much comments.
I play 2x mage (44/38) myself, and my gf 2x priest (44/38)...imba combo :)
Once a guy thought we were a chinese powerleveling service: oh i thought you were a person. When we started talking to him, he got interested and dropped the attitude.
Yesterday I wanted to help a lvl 10 with a boost through the DMs, but he prefered a lvl 55 warrior instead. His loss.
Maybe because we are only 2 it draws less attention. We got quite a few 'hey..can i join your guild' whispers though, maybe because they saw us leveling the lower ones with the higherones.

No percentages here, only a really good response on Runetotem. I can't remember any real bad comments except in Warsong Gulch.
...although I have been offered 6g to strip and dance in tarren mill...
The WTFs seem to have dropped as level has increased.

Me and my friend are doing shamans, he has 4 i have 5. He gets ALL the positive reactions as of late and I get the weirdos and turds who are a pain to deal with.

lol. omg. had a guildy tonight ask to group with me. so i explained it on that char. so 5 mins later he asks antohe rone of my chars. so i explain it in guildchat, then decline him with that char. then 10 mins later he asks ANOTHER one of my chars. lol poor guy just dindt get it. i honeslty think people like that are just desperate to the point of self-delusion.
oh, i bought tabards for my new chars last night (the silly guild ones), and they all have basically the same gear from leveling up, and i went with the clone look on this team, but anyway, someone saw me and was like 'OMG a cult! can i join can i can i'. lol. so funny. never been called a cult before.
Might be a good guild name. The Cult. or something. Cult of Cults? the Legion of cults? nah. im probably just tired, and this isn't gonna read nearly as clever tomorrow....
The most ironic ones are the "no life" comments. Let's see.. I put in 10-15 hours a week in WoW at the most, leaving at least 153 hours a week for Non-WoW "life" activities. You play for 48 hours a week, leaving 120 hours for non-WoW "life" activities. Now tell me who has a life and who doesn't?

Just about everyone who makes a comment other than WTF, I'll reply basically stating it's not a cheat/bot/hack, and visit dual-boxing.com for more info. 75% of those who start with a "Reported" or "BOTS" whisper to me have the conversation end in a positive note after I edu-ma-cate them.
I'm past educating.. i tell them to call a gm so they can explain the rules to them

I have found that since I've been in Morganti's guild <reported> people havn't said shit to me. Which is sooo nice.
