I'm trying to decide which way to go, keep the 4xshaman or go with the 4x Priests (shadow)
The Priests are undead and the fear/anti-fear seems nice for pvp but is this just a pipe dream? Is fear bombing less of a concern then like dealing with a rogue?
Please, ply me with your wisdom as to which is better for a PvP server from your experience.

Shamans is by far better for pvp.

I'm running a druid and 4x shaman- but i think i actually like my paly 4x priest group better. If you can handle being squishy- at least you have PS to get strafing melee off you.
Originally I didn't know of the Drums of Panic but now that changes my outlook on using the 4 shaman.
You have anti-fear capabilities either way. Tremor Totem, or Fear Ward + Racial. I think other factors should be your main decisions: survivability (Shamans), mobility (priest intsant casts), etc.
I was a bit uninformative and short in my other post. I should add that with my pally/4priest team I never tried serious pvp. I did some casual worldpvp, but nothing much. But it was enough to see that my shaman team is a lot better and have much more counters to about everything you meet. I cant really see what spec that is good for pvp-priest team.
Holy-nuke:
- You have good healing
- You would have decent dps, but lack any real burst damage and would probably get zerged before you could drop anyone
- You dont really have any survivability options
Full disc:
- Good survability, but you will lack a lot of dps so you would probably just run around healing yourself :P
Full shadow:
- Very good dps, decent burst(mindblast+sw:d) You could probably manage to drop one enemy fast this way, but due to fairly long cooldowns, you would get slaughtered by the remaining 4
- Your healing would be poor. VE wont heal you enough, and to heal further you would have to drop shadowform. This means that you also lose too much damage late on to do any real damage. You would also lose a lot of mitigation when dropping shadowform.
But as I said in the start of my post, I have not tried pvping much with my pala/priest team, but my personal belief is that shamans is a lot better.
I agree with Cepheus...4 shaman are going to be better than 4 priests in PvP because you have a lot more survivability and probably more DPS. Priests in PvP require a lot of micromanagement, let alone 4 of them. Just my opinion of course.
My thoughts- its a completely different style of gameplay to be successful. I have found both to be very viable- which matches your playstyle better?
If you only want to to do pvp then make 4 priests shadow and Paladin holy or make 5 th priest disp/holy
I'm sticking with the 4x shaman....
