*hint hint, nudge nudge*
This looks helpful. I myself am working on going full hardware right now, but it will take a bit. Right now, I want to know how you get over the spinning bug of death with synergy in your setup.
It's in the post above :PQuote:

Los' hint of the day, or take multiplicity, which basicly does the same, but doesnt f*ck up and you dont need to scroll lock anything. They have a free trial version, check it out, it works like a charm.
This definitely needs a wiki entry, it's just so much awesomeness.
Well for those who can afford it it's great, the rest just McGyver it.Quote:

Just curious about saving focus for sheep targets. I set my main as focus, and use target=focustarget in my dps spells. I find this means less incidence of waiting for the /assist to catch up to the main's target and accidentally DPS'sing the wrong target. This also means I can manually assign targets on my alts, or use /assist to get all the alts targeted on one particular mob.Quote:
Why no focus? FOCUS IS FOR SHEEPS YOU NOOB!
On main character (party leader): Bind the key to "Mark Star raid target"
On mage 1 character, bind the key to the /assist macro above followed with a /focus.
Repeat for each peice of cc you want to do.
Next bind one key on all characters to perform their cc on their focus
/cast [target=focus, nodead]; [target=target, nodead] CCSPELLNAME
Are there scenarios where this would be a disadvantage to using /assist with /focus for CC?
Cheers,
Stealthy
Great Job Suvega
/clap :P
depending how you set up your macros, there are no advantages to using focus instead of target for cc or dd etc...Quote:

I can select which character is focus and partyleader and I can assign targets individually, I could add some macros to assign focus individually... this gives the flexibility of having both focus and target available for other tasks than assisting the main. However, I generally just use party1/focus as it is simpler. I imagine that only complex enggements will require the advanced use of both indivual targets an focus on each clone.
Not to hog the thread but let it be $70 for arguments sake, I myself would still buy it. And again whats 70 dollars on 5000?Quote:

Report to be the #1 SETUP HELP STICKY. Remove all the others and Add this.
What router and switch do you use? Every switch and router combo Ive used cuts my lat into horrible pieces. With only 2 comps, I get a 900 and 850 ms, but when its single no switch, 100. =/.

Yeah the common idea is to save your focus for your leader, and then assit the focus. The problem with this is when you want to keep somethign cc'ed (or in my case in heroics, 3 things), dps a second target, while my main is switching between two targets to buidl threat.
Pretty much a necessity when you're tanking with a warrior (its hard to keep aggro off my T6 priest >.<). Thus focus can be used for sheep, you can use assist when you want to switch targets for your alts, and you can freely switch between targets on your main w/o any issues :)
