I have a funny story. Back at like level 18, outside Deadmines, I ran past a guy and he raged at me, spat at me, called me a botter etc etc. Jump forward like 2 weeks, to this past week. I see a guy questing in Desolace, I dismount on my way to Maraudon, priest buff him, heal him, and help him kill the elite quest NPC he is fighting. Mount up and leave, without a word. I pretty much always do this, since so many people just hate what we do without any facts.
So, about 20s later, the guy I just helped PM's one of my characters, and says thanks, and then tells me that he saw me outside Deadmines the first couple of days, and reported me for botting, and threw general insults at me, and that he was sorry for that. I just responded "Looks like I wasn't botting! :) ".
Its going to happen some people love it and some people hate it I of late I have been getting more that love it and say that is looks amazing and you are going to pwn when I am on my shamans , and I do get a few that call me botter's and say there going to report me for botting and I just say good luck with that and move on.. do not put to much into that just have fun and like Merc dose kill them with kindness . 😁
I have been reported numerous times. I get more hate messages than positive ones. But i have learned to ignore the haters.
Horde hated me, but Alliance have been 100% so far..
This has nothing to do with boxing really. It's just the attitude of many people who spend a lot of time using the internet. Even when single boxing, I've had people create level 1 alts so they could spam me with hate messages and tell me they reported me because looted a quest item they wanted and they had to wait like 3 minutes or something.
The anonymity of the internet allows people to get away with behaving like an ass because there usually aren't any consequences.
I like people who know what multiboxing is, know it's legal, and still get up in arms and report and harass. I know for a fact I've gotten a few people who got mad at me about boxing banned - the only thing I'll report people for are slurs and telling me to go kill myself - the latter of which I know blizzard takes pretty seriously.
I've been having alot of trouble too recently. I'm on a lower pop server that's growing, so the last few days I've been getting harassed and followed around with the "why do you cheat's?", and the "go away bot's". The main cities are the worse. I don't let it bother me, it's just a video game, but it happens so much lately I starting to get worried that I'll end up on Blizzards radar.
Nothing against TOS about multiboxing so no reason to worry.
The ones reporting are the ones that can get into trouble, since they are sometimes breaking the TOS with offensive conduct so can report them back, if they word their complaint badly.
So I actually like playing on a PVP RP server. When someone calls me a bot or hack I just come up with some crazy story like I am the result of a failed gnomish experiment or something like that. I find it funny and sometimes I get a laugh from the others around me.
When someone says something stupid about cheating or botting I just ask if they're r******d.
I say when was the last time you had a conversation with a bot.
I'm now at Level 24 and was able to clear Wailing Caverns with my 5 man hunter team.
I just started multi-boxing HKN about a two weeks ago and I was actually thinking I'd get a lot of messages. Unfortunately, you have to level outside for a while before you can hop into dungeons and I'd have to say I've had my share of hate thrown my way. It's actually kind of surprising. I see the rubbernecking, which makes me laugh, people stopping what they are doing to watch you, people following me, or just watching in awe, all of which don't bother me.
I've received both, the good and the bad. The bad including, "recording you, I reported you", pst "....in loser", "botting", "you're trash". I don't engage on the psts unless it's a nice one like "nice army you got there", "not even mad at you". For the says I just reply "you're wasting your time reporting me".
Now since I'm at the level I can primarily level via dungeons I'll be sticking to that I think for the most part, avoiding the crowds if possible.
The funiest one i got is one who try to blackmail by wisper asking me few gold piece or he will report me. I ask him to read this url https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/11704 and told him i'm gonna report him for blackmail.
Report the people sending these kind of messages to you. It's one thing for somebody to comment thinking you're a bot but if they start abusing you and using profanity there's a good chance reporting them will result in some action.
Not that I even care about profanity. If you're not receiving hate as a boxer you're doing something wrong IMO. It just makes me laugh imagining how enraged these dummies would be if they actually got suspended for it.
Last night's conversation:
Them: "bots?"
Me: "WELL OBVSLY"
Them: "lemme borrow them I need some of that"
Me: "Well, they're pretty washed up. And they talk back ALL. THE. TIME."
Them: "don't fly them colors on my turf"
Me: "WEST SIDE <makes Ali G hand sign>"
Them: "booyaka"
It ain't all bad. Be of good cheer. You catch more flies with honey vs vinegar and all that. ;)
If someone is rude and curse, i just show this link, then carry on with my life.

If really offensive, i rapport them.
If friendly, i show the link + show some formations, cool toys, fireworks, cast heals on the guy etc.
