Hello,
I want to play 5 toons only for wpvp.
My mate chose Alliance so no shamans. :(
And now i'm not sure the class i want to play.
5 SP ?
5 Boomkins ?
5 warlocks ?
I think warlocks have not enough synergy. They can't heal each other, even if 5xdots would be strong.
Droods' stealth and travel form are interesting.
Sp can os everybody and have 5 fears.
What have the most tankyness ?
What would you choose ?
Id go with 4x l9ck 1x disc or 4x mage 1x paladin
My all time favorite PVP team was four hunters and a shaman . Since you are playing ally . I would just play four hunters and one pally. With all the pets and mail armor you would be unstoppable.
No difficulties with 2-3 melees and healer who would stick close to the hunters ?Quote:

Hunters have huge burst. If you can manage to stay at range you could easily global people. However, fighting a few decent players they'll just get inside your deadzone and then you're pretty much done. There's no way a single person can micro 3+ hunters effectively and you have no way to combat CC/fears. Even with one shaman, any warrior worth worrying about will kill a single tremor totem before fearing.
Warrior/paladin is great for small scale where you're fighting other groups of close to equal size (3-5.) In numbers larger than that you might get a few kills but people will run from you and in the time it takes you to move between targets you'll die from multiple ranged characters focusing you.
Ranged teams (4-5 shamans, 4 warlocks/priest) are superior in large scale wPvP assuming you know how to position so you're not on the front line being focused.

Because warriors are the most popular class in classic it will be very difficult to get a raid slot in PUG-raids. Especially when you want to roll on dps-gear.

I suspect that Priest is better overall but curious if Paladin is a decent 2nd option with 4 Warlocks for large scale WPVP?
As long as it is at least viable I will want to consider swapping a Paladin for a Priest as my main will be a Paladin and I want to get him as high a WPVP ranking as possible...
If it would help my Paladin's ranking I could only use my 3 Warriors+2 Paladins for small-to-mid size WPVP and for large-scale PVP switch to 3 Warlocks+2 Paladins (or 4 Warlocks+1 Paladin) PVP Rankings if that is better than just going solo Paladin in Large Scale WPVP.

Rather than Main Tanking I personally would recommend a boxer (with multiple Warriors) focus their main Warrior on being more of a DPS warrior and be "top notch at it" so that it may make sense to have multiple others "just like your Warrior" doing the same things you are doing with the same timings... You will at least get the catch-up raid drops that no one else truly needs which means all of your warriors could easily have decent raid gear (in fact people in the catch-up raid will want it because it will make it faster for everyone)... If you show you are doing the heaving lifting with 4 Warriors (+Paladin judgeing/buffing/aura-ing/healing the melee group) in catch-up raids then you may eventually work in a 2nd character (or more) into the main raids if/when they are short in the main raids...
Note that that all of this is doable in time in any serious raiding guild if you build trust and respect and demonstratively show your multi-boxing to be an asset...
That being said not all guilds are setup where you have to prove your multi-boxing as an asset... On the America's Herod both Factions have dedicated Multi-boxing guilds & so far both Factions have multiple teams past level 20 so both Factions on Herod should well be able to farm at least some portions of 10mans and 20mans at cap... Eventually I think multi-boxers of both Factions on Herod will be able to field 40 plus concurrently so at least some portions of 40 man content should be available to multi-boxers on both Factions...
Edit: Just confirmed that the Herod Horde multi-boxer guild is already averaging 40+ level 20+ characters concurrently pretty regularly during prime times and has had a peak of about 80 characters online at one time so far so at least some portions of 40man content should be well within their reach... At current levels the Herod Alliance multi-boxing guild should likely be able to do some 10man or 20man content but will need to grow more for 40man content...
Main problem with paladins is PvE. You can't heal fast enough on a paladin to sustain 4 voidwalkers taking damage as well as 4 warlocks channeling hellfire.Quote:

Also, the way soulstone and spirit of redemption work together is pretty OP. If they focus your priest you just keep reapplying soulstones and you get 10 seconds of free, uninterruptable healing every time you die.
All classes in blue gear are mediocre compared to t3 gearing. Preraid BiS warriors still out-DPS all other classes by a fair margin. Arcanite reaper is broken in t1 PvP and warriors get some of the best preraid items available from hand of justice to BoE epics like cloudkeeper legplates.Quote:

Warriors are the most popular class but also the most desired class in raids. So, while classes like warlocks, hunters and druids may be less played, they also receive far fewer raid slots. You don't want more than 1-2 druids in a raid, 3 warlocks, 2-3 hunters, etc. At least 8/40 slots will go to warriors. For speed runs you can see 12+.

Is a tank a necessity for grinding in instances ? do 5 voidwalkers can tank wthout a healer ? can 5 SP heal enough and deal damage without a tank ?
I am pretty sure the feedback is that multiple voidwalkers can pull off at least most tanking in dungeons with a full healer behind them. 5 Warlocks with no healer can't. So a Tank class may not be needed for much with 4 Warlocks but a Healer will be.Quote:
